Thanks for posting the great video!! It brings back memories of me fishing with my father for blackfish along the rocky shores of Long Island Sound 50 years ago. I am now 62 and live in California. . Delicious fish.

How do you pick your spot to start fishing ? What do you look for ? Nd when is it the best time to go out ?
@brandonleboon11028 жыл бұрын
When you go to your fishing spots on the beach do you just pick a spot or try to look for certain things in the ocean or waves like a crest or a outlying factor like a calm spot in the waves. Because when ever I fish from the beach usually by jetties and inlets by sea isles city and belmar I can't seem to catch muck at all. Do you have any tips

You still have your mojo inshore? How does the custom rod compare?
@ChrisMcIntee8 жыл бұрын
the custom rod is a lot lighter in weight and action, the mojo inshore is pretty bulky and akward in comparison, for throwing/dropping more than 2oz Id use the mojo but anything lighter id use the custom as its much more comfortable to fish

I just bought a Yak ( I'm in Japan btw ) and I've been watching a lot of videos about yak fishing, one thing no one really explains is what do you look for. I got a fish finder and I know structure, drop-off's, ledges, etc are usual hotspots but when your in a yak what are some things you tend to always find successful when locating fish?
@ChrisMcIntee8 жыл бұрын
+Joe L baitfish! If there are baitfish then the predators are usually in the area. Structure like ledges and holes are also good for holding fish whether theres bait around or not.

The people who snag baitfish are usually the reason behind really slow fishing when conditions are perfect. They catch 5 times as many fish then us using artificial baits and gut hook most of them which pretty much kills off the fish that regularly feed on that stretch.
