A band called Toque covering a RUSH song. It doesn't get more Canadian than that.

They did good - tough song to cover live. The lead guitarist is very talented; so relaxed - made it look easy. That said, I don't think the singer's guitar was plugged in. Think he used it more for show than go! 😄 Thanks for the vid from a fellow Winterpegger! Cheers!

We can't come up with our own song so we'll just steal someone else's and make people pay to hear us play it😂

They have an album of originals, the bass player who is slash’s drummer and the guitar player who is slash’s bass player have helped write the last 3 or more of slash’s albums. The other two guys play in other bands as well….. when these guys don’t have prior commitments from their other bands they get together and play across Canada doing old school Canadian classic rock because they are all Canadian boys. They do this for fun….

@@len3169I’m sure they are talented and got to respect anyone making music but working on albums by slash That have very minimal sales is not the yardstick I would use to measure their talent, 99% of people that buy a ticket for a slash show do so because of his involvement with GNR. And of course slash has great marketing showing up everywhere from late night talk shows to Super Bowl special guest halftime shows. Music shouldn’t be about famous this or that, it should be about how the music makes you feel,

And? You are sitting in front of a screen using absolutely no skill.........
@dirkgibbens37711 ай бұрын
Your comment is funny. Its a very amateurish move. And no, he has no guitar skills. Barely plays. He holds his guitar more as a prop than anything, which takes about as much skill as me looking at a screen. LOL. Good singer though. Not easy to cover Geddy Lee for sure. His lead guitarist is pretty good. And yes, I know what I’m talking about. Been playing/performing guitar for over 40 yrs. So there is that. 😁

FYI, the singer is actually the bass player for Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and the conspirators, so I wouldn't really same he's an amateur @@dirkgibbens377

@@dirkgibbens377coming from a guy on KZbin that probably hasn’t played in front of 10-15 people…. That guy you’re saying is amateurish has played shows in front of 50,000 or more….has recorded countless albums, been in bands with hundreds yes hundreds of famous musicians and played world wide on multiple tours…..you do realize this is a rush song that has ONE guitar player right Mr 40 years of jamming for your friend…. Do you play in slash’s band for the last 12 or so years….😂

@@len3169 Oooh yeah… Toque. Absolute superstars (not). They played in front of thousands of people, not because of their enormous talent, but because they were backups to big acts and more talented headliners. They are a collection of backups. Nothing more, so get over yourself. 😁
