I'm an amateur with a portfolio of 70k in dollars but it's hard for me to build confidence. Not offering any particular advice, but I can assure you that it's not as hard as many people think it is. Ordinary investors lack the requisite level of diligence, so having a financial advisor on board is usually highly beneficial. In the market, this is how people generate enormous profits.

Where Rahul invested 15L: 1. CPSEETF (Central Public Sector Enterprises ETF) 2. MIDCAPETF (Mirae MidCap ETF) 3. NIFTYIETF (ICICI Pru. NIFTY ETF) 4. PSUBNKIETF (Nifty ICICI Pru. PSU Bank ETF) While I am fine with investing in ETFs, I don't agree with Rahul when he said: "If I go for a Mutual fund route, then it takes atleast 2-3 days for me to get the units alloted" --> Well, that is only HALF True. If you do a one-time investment on a Mutual Fund before 14:00hrs, the Mutual Fund will lock in that day's NAV value for you and allot the units accordingly..even though you get allotments only after 2-3 days.

I submitted orders worth 60K before 2pm on Coin / Zerodha but they allotted the next day NAV of June 5. It’s all over the internet as a lot of people were screwed over

@@athwaithvishnuprathap6666 but there are similar transaction charges on ETF's while buying and selling. Looking overall, MF's do cost a little more, but it is very minute.

@@bonnvoyage7697 agreed. I do also agree with @vinumathew1713's opinion. But MF's allot units based on when the money reaches their bank account. So any error in banks (sender or receiver's) as well as any delay from broker can increase chances of being allotted T+1 day's NAV. This small probability isn't usually a problem in ETF's.

Bro check how mutual fund and brokers did scam on 4th june. 95% people didn't got same day nav even when there funds got approved before 2 PM. In my case my funds got approved at 11:45 AM and they gave me nav of 5th June. So i will always stick with etf next time.

6:50 - Why do you say MF unit allocation takes 2-3 days? I have been investing in MFs for years now and if you buy it before 3PM, it gets locked at that day’s NAV and gets allocated next morning. I am a small investor and invested 1L on Tuesday all on MFs and they got allocated by next morning even before market opened. Please don’t misguide people 🙏

Thats great.. but still your NAV is at the end of day. ETFs can be great when you want to instantly allocate your money at the very moment, sometimes markets can move easily between 2-4% in one session and you can loose that opportunity by Day end..

He is not mis guiding, your understanding is halfway through what he says. Say example, During Tuesday market corrected almost 2000 points. Later recovered almost 700 points. While buying through mf route. One would have missed that 2000 point dip , instead they would have alloted unit for 1300 point correction. Hope it is correct !

Not really. In my case, I invested on June 4th, but it just got allocated today, and the NAV is based on today's NAV. I reported it to Zerodha, but they are giving lame excuses and mentioning that this has happened with others as well.

Rahul bhai... In your Part 2, you mentioned that the reason why you chose ETFs over MFs is because MFs take 2-3 days of allotment and hence the price is different from the date of purchase. Pls clarify... Don't we get the NAV of MFs of the date of purchase only ??

The logic is flawed. Over the long term, both NiftyBeES and NiftyIETF are likely to provide similar returns because they replicate the same underlying index, the Nifty 50. The primary factors causing short-term discrepancies (like liquidity, trading volume, and market impact) tend to even out over the long term. So it does not really matter if one funds falls more than other on a single day !

Assuming I have 15lakhs available to invest, where and how do I invest it considering I need non-greed growth of 10% or more in the next 1 year. Considering looming recession, fluctuating markets, not sure whether to invest in Debt funds or equity funds or Index funds. ETFs are risky when there is bearish market you can't able to sell it because of circuit. On other side when there is gapdown of 1-2% the more fall is on etf of 10-15 rs and when there is gapup of 1-2% hardly the price go up with only 4-5rs

Always studied and logical videos from your side, Sir. After crash whenever bit positive correction next is there, I am noticing still downfall in portfolio. That is painful. Hedging is not possible immediately at crashing times. However what's seen by you should be tried rather to keep away from panicking situation.

Sir, Everything you said in the video just boosted our knowledge and confidence in investing more but one thing I would mention is nifty 50 Bees and nifty pru etf both have similar downfall it's just that their tracking error and different NAVs leads to such scenario. While the market crash, the nav for nifty pru was lower than niftybees and during market rally it was the same scenario. So there is not much difference in any of the etfs be it bees or niftypru. I think so but do correct me you get me wrong. Thanks. Your diligent follower.

Just a point on PSUs, post elections the general trend is that PSUs hardly have any growth in them, also they are prone to scams in comparison to private companies. Now that the government is elected they don't have much incentive to boost the earnings of these companies.
