Speaking as a citizen of the USA and someone who hasn't been outside the states (except for various Caribbean islands) I must say I REALLY appreciate the architecture and history there. Basically every building there is WAY older than my entire country. Fantastic, and a photographers dream!

Sir, I think this is a brilliant idea to provide interesting content during these difficult times. It is a good way to show what is ashore as well as what is aboard beautiful boats. For people in urban areas who are shut in now, this is a wonderful little virtual excursion for the mind.

Thanks, Nick for taking us with you for a nice walk in a beautiful British town. Who needs a superyacht if you can have a walk like this every day in such a beautiful surrounding. I am from the Netherlands and visited the English east and northeast coast more than a couple of times on sail, but you definitely inspired me to change course the next time and set sail to the south. ( You should have a dog (name it Miele) it would be the happiest dog in the world )

Could you start some sort of “beatification” group to find volunteers and paint some of the rusty bits? And yes, that riot fencing is odd. But it’s a beautiful place and I’m slightly jealous. I live in Salt Lake City, and miss the ocean. We do have the Great Salt Lake, but has a very funky smell. The one thing we have are places like Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon that are absolutely gorgeous so it’s not too bad. That said, I enjoyed see your walk.

Great episode of Stompaholics. Cockington looks like a fab day out! It's sad how the seaside towns of the UK are often so neglected. On a good day, our coastline is hard to beat, yet the towns seem to rely so much on their past glory days to attract visitors. I have friends that live in Torquay centre, and I know there are certainly challenges with some of the locals! Fabulous place to live though. That constant sea air. I envy you !! Take good care Nick. Some nice toys in that marina, again haven't walked that part for many years, last time I'm sure there were bars underneath that new development, could be wrong mind was a long long time ago. Again good walking historical video Nick as we in Ontario Canada are still waiting for spring to make an appearance. The scenery was fantastic even palm trees & other greenery as springtime in the UK. The lakes should be called ponds or overgrown puddles for if you can’t float a boat in them the designation of lake is an oxymoron but nevertheless in a beautiful scenic location. I see you guys still drive on the wrong side of the road LOL perhaps you might educate those who don’t know that origin to the reason why. Keep up the travelogue Nick I enjoy your videos & insights.

Some years ago, whilst traveling past all the new road works to Torbay, my wifes son Robert, who was in the back of the car, said ` Mum i didn`t know plants are heavy and why do they want to cross` I said to him, Robert, have you ever watched Dads Army `Yes, but whats got to do with Heavy plant crossing` he replied, and we both spontaneously said You stupid boy!!! Nice video, one bit I really noticed was the birds singing and the really nice parkland. I'm in Lanzarote and we never get much of the birds, a few but not many. Also we are still in total lockdown, and are not allowed yet to go out walking. Everywhere is dead at this time. This despite our very low infection rate, in fact in Puerto del Carmen, no cases at all. Anyway it will improve eventually, we hope, as we need tourists to survive. But weather is normally good.

This one bought back a lot of memories from living in Dartington and working in Torquay 25 years ago - many a pint enjoyed in The Drum in Cockington and many other places including The Royal at Babbacombe and of course The Cary Arms. Thanks for this one - bought a lot of emotions to the fore (however I will stick to N. Highlands at the moment ;-) )

A lovely place to start at Rock walk. Corbyn head in the sunshine ☀️. Then up to Cockington a lovely showcase of Torquay. We are lucky to have this on our doorstep. Thanks for sharing our beautiful town. Also the man who got stuck under the water wheel 35 ish years ago was my wife’s uncle, still don’t know what he was up to.

Love your walking and tours! While I like your yacht tours, your walking tours are also special. You live in a beautiful part of the world and with your yacht tours you have the ability to transmit your enthusiasm for both. Very enjoyable! While I live inland in the US, Kentucky, I have always loved the sea and got to spend time when I was younger with my Grandmother who lived on the coast of Maine. Your area reminds me a lot of Maine. Thank you for sharing,

Thanks Nick! Beautiful area. You're fortunate. I've spent my entire life at or near the Atlantic. I'll probably always be by the Sea...

Hey Nick. Another enjoyable video. It brings back some great memories. I played cricket on the Cockington pitch and had really great lunch in a small cafe in the park right next to the pitch and putt by the sports centre.. Im fairly local ( East Devon ) but as a rusult of your 2 vids as soon as things get back to normal ill be booking a long weekend in Torquay to do the same routes you have shown. Maybe if you know Brixham you could do the same there ?

Last one. Dad story from me. When my eldest son was little he used to want to sleep with his head under the pillow. It used to scare the hell out of us as parents. I told him one night that if he slept with his head under the pillow the tooth fairy would come along and take all his teeth out! I also informed him he would get about £30 for all those teeth. Nevertheless, he had a nightmare that night and told his mum the next day what I had said. The wife put me on the naughty step for a week!

What a beautiful area in which you live. I love your walking videos, in fact I have them saved and pull them up occasionally to enjoy your fantastic scenery! I enjoy your boats too, but the walks are something special.

Again a very welcome tonic both informative and relaxing viewing. For us all to share with you when our world feels a bit smaller than we would like just now. Hope both the SL and Smugglers Blues are on trickle charge? As these videos keep us all topped up with your positive enthusiasm, happy banter and an eye for detail in all around you. Cheers Nick.
