I make a hammer rack for the growing collection of hammers and blacksmithing tools. A simple but effective way to organize tools in a limited space.

Him, Alec Steele, and Eli from the KZbin channel ZNA Productions have all inspired me to work with my hands more often*. I credit Torbjörn and Alec for my first ever anvil I bought about a month ago. *Leah from the channel See Jane Drill also deserves a mention, without her I wouldn’t be building my first sawhorses

Thanks, I just built myself a new shop and now have to store all my tools and materials in a smart way, I don't think I need such a big and professional rack (I don't have so many hammers nor do I need them, and chisel hammers and punches will get more over the time but for now I have only 5 or so), I think I will build a similar rack like that one from wood that you replaced :) Greetings from Germany, Edgar

The spacing between the two tubes the hammers rest on is tricky; having them sloping downwards is a nice solution. Thank you.

Great idea, thanks for the video! I thought it was funny that you have so many hammers that you need to make a new rack for them, but then you do what most other people would do and use whatever's nearby to knock the tube into alignment 😉

There's a little free space, so now you'll have to fill it up... That's a lot of hammers and top swages, etc. Even though you didn't swing a hammer in this video, it's still a great blacksmithing video. Regular shop maintenance and refinement is a trait of all great craftsmen. You certainly have a shop to be proud of.

A little tip: when you are closing a paint can it will be useful to rotate the can their bottom up for a 2-3 second. The paint fills a gaps between the can and their cover and makes covering more germetic.
