When you go across the log crossing in ash canyon at 5:36:56 be sure to check the crack in the rock wall straight ahead and slightly left for a cache box. The tendency is to go immediately to the right when you come off the log and lots of people miss it.

I very much like this run and concept. I would not be able to survive this long I think, but you seem to be a master at this kind of thing. I would like to see this run continue past 60 days when the world is at it's coldest for 10 days already and see if you can sustain it past that.

I second that overconfidence is a killer. I just lost my best interloper run to it. 40+ days in I had just killed and cooked the bear at trapper's. I had a few more items left to cook to hit level 5. I needed parasite free meat so I harvested 2 kilos of meat from a deer that I shot that died at the top of the hill toward unnamed pond. A wolf caught my scent and started following me. I was walking the dog back to trappers and could have easily got inside but decided to kill the wolf for the pelt and extra meat. After all I had been scoring bullseyes on bunnies. Nope, I missed. Struggle ensues and I die. I forgot I had changed the struggle from clicking to click and hold. That's OK, I am off to a great start on my new adventure.

My only critique of TLD is the automatic use of reishi, birch bark and rose hip tea mugs. There is an abundance of tin cans in the game that could be used to store and drink these teas which forces the player to keep them in their inventory. Also, the player is forced to consider smashing open a can for its contents(tomato soup) and losing the can versus finding an opening device first(can opener, knife etc). Great content as usual, Zak!!

1:39:43 talking about the difficulty/fun ratio. I have an issue with friends to play with in survival games with difficulty ratings (i.e. 7DTD, Green Hell etc...) because I LOVE the struggle in survival games. I havent played TLD on any difficulty except interloper, and I only play nightmare on 7DTD. I COMPLETELY understand people that don't want to die repeatedly. But I have a weird innate knack for survival games. And I personally believe survival games are supposed to be abusive. Green hell was one of my favorites. I love permadeath games. This has been a blast Zak. I've really enjoyed this. I always learn things from watching you. As far as the caches go though, I don't know if they have changed things but I have a current Pilgrim run, (don't judge me, sometimes I just want to relax and explore. :) I have found two of the 'NEW caches, one in ML and one in Milton and they were both BARE. Color me disappointed. Also, as a different kind of challenge, I did an essay about the circumstances surrounding the wolf carcass and body in the cave you visited earlier. How they came to be there, I would share it if you would like. It's about a page in length. Unsolicited parenting tip, from one father to another; Make a journal. Write all the 'Cute' things the baby does every day, every milestone, each achievement. Trust me on this. You think you will never forget what just happened today but in days to come you will read what you wrote and be very happy that you did. May each day bring you as much joy as you experienced the first time you held your child. God bless
