The cost of repairs is minimal compared to the good times you have wheeling they are priceless. Everytime you go out its an adventure to be had sure beats sitting at home hey its a lifestyle and a badass way of life way better than wasting time and money hanging out in bars or nightclubs. Now if you put a locker in the rear you and your jeep will have a lot less breakage it just makes for an easier time but you may have to get a beefier rear end first a lunch box locker wood work great in your 35 in the rear I think you have
@SmokinMonkeyOG

Ya I agree I rather make memories than sit around in bars or going clubbing. I’ve had my share of partying now I rather enjoy some good company on the trails and see something new and interesting each time I go out! I do plan to get a locker but my buddy has a Dana 44 with locker I might be picking up in the near future

It is cool that you are allowed to do all of that work in your parking garage. When I lived in apartments, I couldn't even change my oil or a tire. Without getting written up. Happened 3 times & you get evicted. Glad I have a 2 ½ car garage now.

Honestly I’ve always been scared of getting crap for it but nobody has ever said a thing to me about it except for comments like good job and stuff like that from neighbours. I do always make sure to make it look like I was never there when I’m done

Absolutely wild doing all of this in an underground parking garage, when we were chatting yesterday afternoon I didn’t realize this all happened under the guise of a condo board. I just got served a $750 fine for having a Traeger hahahahahaha

At first I thought you will rip it apart. But it is surprise you can fix all the details. The sensors and idler was a really good work. I think I need one new, think I'm having the same thing (rev over 1). I'm taking notes for everything, the only thing I'm still looking for it's a place to get parts. great great job indeed. You can make some more videos of the fixing part on detail, like the radiator how you dissamble and assemble again step by step.

Great Video, as always. Your bondo work was pretty good for a first timer. You didn't use too much hardener either ;). I got pretty decent a amature bondo work back in high school. I found that a plastic putty knife works the best for pushing it into the small cracks and holes. Is the rear axle still crunchy?
@SmokinMonkeyOG
@SmokinMonkeyOG Жыл бұрын
Haha thanks man! Rear axle is sounding better but the gears are still chipped. Probably just wore down the rough parts enough lol
@attimus02
@attimus02 Жыл бұрын
@@SmokinMonkeyOG Cool. Are you shopping for a full new axle or just the replacement parts? I would think you could take your time to find the right axle for big bird while you run those chipped gears. Since this is a dedicated trail rig, i'm looking forward to seeing Big Bird go full buggy. Do you think the JT can tow it? You'd be renting/borrowing a trailer each weekend you use it.
@SmokinMonkeyOG
@SmokinMonkeyOG Жыл бұрын
@attimus02 that’s not an option for now. I’m not looking to put any more money into the Jeep for now till I recover from the repairs this year. I do want to make it a full buggy but not till I own property and have somewhere to actually work on it and store it. Plus I’m not looking to be renting a trailer very time. I’m already spending over $100 in fuel per off road trip so anything that can keep my costs down is a plus
