I vividly remember when I saw her audition for American Idol. She was singing "Gravity" by John Mayer. She only sang a few phrases when I was like, "Stop this competition right now. Give this girl the crown!" I immediately said to fam, "THAT girl's the winner!" When Simon said that she didn't like her voice, I was practically screaming, "ARE YOU INSANE?!?! ARE YOU DEAF?!?!" It was one of those moments when Simon Cowell got it completely wrong. Thankfully, Tori Kelly proved that you don't need to win American Idol to be a star. Tori Kelly is one of the BEST vocalists I have ever heard in my life. Her vocal talent is so supernaturally effortless...it's almost like her vocals are not coming FROM her, but THROUGH her...
