This is and was the best lineup for the band in IMHO and also for the sound they captured, I'm pretty sure addiction was ramped in later years , perhaps during this period with Ford&Colt , I happened to catch the two showes in Boston before this one, and the way Ford would lead the band into jams like the way they did Hard to Handle was in some regards was the Pinnacle of their sound Ed's piano was legendary! I am so thankful for recordings like this as music transports me back to a time of ease and certainly less responsibilities this is as good as it gets for the Crowes this lineup had played together for several years and was very cohesive In fighting was at a minimum and addiction didn't have both feet in yet ......Good times !

Only the Crowes with this lineup could have done justice and much more to the original. This is the sound of a band expressing their torn and frayed souls as blue eyed soul. Magic.

Marc Ford to me is a gifted player & man, I use to go see The Crowes all the time, I was at all 3 nights to this show it was amazing!!!!!!

One of the biggest regrets of my life is not doing everything I could see as many BC shows as possible when they ad Marc and Eddie. No shortages of guys for hire with chops you can swap in and out, but this lineup was so inspired.

Ah, the classic lineup with Marc and Eddie, and Johnny (I think...forget if Sven had joined by this time). As a guitar player, Marc Ford is one of my biggest influences when I play lead guitar. His lead melodies, to me at least, sound like another voice in the band...complimenting what the actual singer is doing.

This was my 1st Crows concert (Thu 10/31/96)...the vast majority of fans were in costume as the show was billed in the Village Voice as "A dress-up party with the black crows"

LOOK, idk how the Rolling Stones DID IT! OKAY?! I'm so well versed in music over the years that I turn away from music I hear that regurgitates some older music. Music for centuries. Yes I know like the Crowes said "ONE BIG SONG". But the Stones created smthg AMAZING!! ORIGINAL!!! Then the Crowes borrowed from them, but the Crowes are UNIQUE IN THEMSELVES!!! IT'S ALL AMAZING & OPENS MY HEART & EAR TO HEAR GOOD ORIGINAL MUSIC, NO REGURGITATION. I LOVE THIS!!!

This was the concert where they all came out dressed as Elvis after Gov't Mule...the concert was advertised in the village voice as "a dress up party with the black crows" note the date

@tiedeman23 hell yeah man, saw em last year, and gonna see them again in about 11 days. Can't wait. I like his slide playing on some songs, but Marc just had that aura...probably from the horse lol, but I mean...Sometimes Salvation's solo is the stuff of legends.
