Tornado 60163 'The (ill fated) Ebor Flyer' 14 April 2018 approaching Arlesey, Bedfordshire.
Unfortunately Tornado failed whilst hauling ‘The Ebor Flyer’ just a few miles further on. This was due to damaged inside motion. The cause is not known, but is not thought to be speed-related. Tornado was taken off at Peterborough aided by a Class 66 and was moved to the Nene Valley Railway for inspection (potentially today) and subsequent repairs.
Hopefully she will back in steam as soon as possible.
