Watch some weather vloggers so you can recognize the tornado signature on the radar. We had a tornado go south of us in April, we ended up in the hail core and incured $30K in damage to our home and totaled my car. My husband's was able to be fixed. Its been a rough year because we had to pay $8000 deductible to get our home fixed. So if bad storms will kindly skip us for a long while it would be greatly appreciated. I'm glad you didn't suffer damage in OK and love how you kept it light and non-threatening for the kids so they weren't stressed out and scared.

It’s really quiet and still that’s not a good sign. As someone who survived a tornado you don’t have much time and had we stalled we might not be around now. I’m glad it didn’t hit you for real.

I don’t know about taking cover in a bathtub, a hallway and cover your body with a bed mattress and pillows. Also a closet and covering yourself with clothes is a great option, too.

I love the headboard in the master bedroom, Sam you did an amazing job making it! Even though Tornadoes are a serious event you managed to keep the atmosphere light and humorous for the kids, I was dying with laughter. I have been meaning to ask if Broken Bow ever has Tornadoes. A storm shelter might be an ideal project for the future.
