Tornado damage in Johnson and Springdale, Arkansas

A tornado in the early morning of Wednesday, March 30, 2022, damaged several buildings in Northwest Arkansas. Here's a look at some of the destruction in Johnson, where the tornado is believed to have first touched down, and nearby Springdale.

Thanks to the amazing warning system we have that didn’t notify our phones I slept straight through this. The new siren on the highway either didn’t go off or was still too quiet to hear.

The alert went off on my phone. Plus it was a QLCS tornado in darkness at 4am which is very hard to warn for because they happen so quickly. I’d say under these circumstances the local meteorologists and the NWS did an excellent job.
