The first one of these was built in 1999. Way after the first SLC. SLCs had already been built everywhere, and most parks preferred B&M’s more reliable Inverted coaster model.

@@triple7marc ok, but still, though I doubt they’d beat B&M (at least in the Invert category…) they’d be way better than Vekoma, which also aren’t exactly known for their reliability.

@@steveo7771286 I suppose parks just preferred Vekoma because they were very cheap and cloneable, and B&M for their reliability. Intamin was kinda halfway. Intamins aren’t known to be reliable, and I doubt this coaster was cheap.

@@triple7marc probably. Intamin chose to push the limits rather than play it safe like B&M and unfortunately it came with a huge price. Wouldn’t change it for the world though. My top 5 is almost all intamin.

This is the first Intamin invert, that is the first B&M invert.
