my city was hit by surprise on april 4th 1981,it wasnt on radar execept severe thunderstorms,no watches,no warnings and no sirens until after it went through,it had a strange damage path because it only took out the north part of town,and it was moving so fast that it was 5 minutes if that and very few seen it,the story says it was a narrow funnel,but some survivors that did see it say it was big,it hit after midnight,it killed and injured people,damage cost was 20 million,it had 200MPH wind speeds,they rated it F4 but if it happened today it would be EF-4,and it was a rare event because the tornado itself was anticyclonic,you can find it online its the west bend wisconsin tornado on april 4th 1981
