Severn Valley Railway 'Spring Steam Gala' 15/04/23

Hello and welcome to the Severn Valley Railway Spring Steam Gala, one of the many top events that this railway hosts each and every year despite the recent set backs with financial difficulties due to many reasons all of which are beyond their control. It was great to see such a great turn out of enthusiasts throughout the course of the day. Although it must be said that some of them could do with going back to school and learning basic manners. But unfortunately some people are just rude and you have to ignore them as best as possible.
There was a wonderful lineup of locos on display throughout the weekend, and as is always the aim of my trips here I try and capture all of them before heading out for a journey along the line.
I hope you all enjoy watching this, my next gala will once again be at the Severn Valley Railway for their diesel gala which is going to be the biggest one yet!

Not gonna lie, as a young lad who's interested in trains I hate old people, most of the have no manners and put you down about everything. I was in the Railcam chat a year ago and everyone there was so toxic.

I find the volunteers very nice, helpful ect. But the old trainspotters take it way too seriously, best example of this is whenever there is a steam rail tour they all swarm to get a spot on the platform 😂 it’s not a competition

It seems like that person thinks he owns the place. If he brought a ticket like you. Then, he should respect your needs like you would do the same to him. He needs to show more manners than he did.

Best-sounding starter steamie, for me, has to be a 9F, closely followed by a Britannia. - - - Lots of people, these days, are so RUDE! They are quite prepared to tell you to move, then deliberately stand in front of you.

0:31 - I swear I say this exact same thing every time. And when the man told you to move out of the way, I experienced this exact thing at a railtour once at Bradford Interchange. It is quite annoying

So the best sounding steam locomotives under acceleration are Merchant navy’s West Countries 9f Manors Bullets/bully’s Castles And Pannier tanks specifically the 5700s

I ama member and frequent flyer to SVR but kettle fans can be a weird breed so I prefer all the Diesel galas and workings, great video Mr T best wishes!
