Thought this bittersweet ballad by The Verve went excellent with the ending to the powerful Aussie film Holding The Man. Forever Together RIP - Tim Conigrave + John Caleo

I had a friend once, he dated girls and we thought nothing of it till one day, he met a guy and they moved in together. One day I asked him, when he had figured out that he was gay. His answer stayed with me and will forever remind me of what is really important in life. He said, “I didn’t. I fell in love with a wonderful human being, like I always had, only this time, that human being happened to be male. But I just went with the love, not the gender”. Love is just that, and if you are fortunate enough to find it, you hold on to it, gay, straight, it doesn’t matter.

Most people never find their true love. What an amazing story of two lovers who was truly Blessed to have loved each other so much. I cried for hours and still do. Beautiful written, beautiful love story. Wished they were still with us.

A film that touched my heart and very much the same what happened to my family with my brother & his husband. Appreciate very much the Conigrave and Caleo families for sharing their son's lives.

Am I the only one that’s angry and disgusted by the father? There were together for 15 years and that wasn’t allowed to be acknowledged at the funeral he was just a friend? He done more for him than anyone the dad only came to the hospital to talk about his will 🥺😢

Same, I said something bad about him, your child is dying and you just wanna get money.. Sad to see these people, I hate 'em, I'm trying to be careful when I'm selecting people around me. (speaking of, I cried a lot when I see them real picture in the end, if you forget the movie, I hope you can remember with this comment.)

I'm Filipino, and this movie based on a real story is so fucking underrated. It beyond deserves more recognition. I've been planning to buy the book, but it's difficult to find it.

Thank you for introducing me to this song. I had only recently seen and cherished the movie. This video is beautiful. A forever of thank you's wouldn't be enough. The gay community is emerging from this cloud of hate-filled, drug-abusing, sex craze, and this movie so beautifully captures the roots of that transformation. God bless your time and effort, friend.

having a homosexual child In the past, people thought it was wrong. I understood my father, mother at that time. It's very open nowadays. gender diverse group (LGBTQIA+) is more accepted. But more importantly, love yourself, love your family, love to protect. so that we can be with the people we love for a long time. 😘"...
