Lyrics: Essentially the end of chapter 16 of the Lotus Sutra and it's called the Jigage (自我偈) in Japanese. This song has a Tendai and/or Nichiren Buddhist vibe.

@@evanharrison4054 Thank you. I did some digging. This song's singer is affiliated with Ryōhō-ji, a Nichiren-shu Buddhist temple in Tokyo. Nichiren-shu Buddhism accepts non-Buddhist Shinto elements, hence the "shrine maiden" vibe in this Buddhist chant song.

You are lucky. This music should be the soundtrack of the cosmos.

why does this have a religious vibe?
@evanharrison40545 жыл бұрын
Because it is based on a three thousand year old Sanskrit poem, the roots of which stretch back all the way to the antediluvian epoch. It's older than most all our books combined. It is not religious as much as it is a pure expression of creative energy.
