It's amazing what people will throw away, a simple carb clean soon got it running again

Lastly on cleaning carbs, remove all the plastic and rubber BEFORE spraying any carb cleaner. CC eats those items up quickly. I put silicone grease on the bowl gasket and the main carb gasket. Prevents sticking and moisturizes the gaskets so they don't stick next time on disassembly.

It would be very helpful if you showed us how you take off the top cover off, and where are the carburetor bolts to take it apart. When you pull the pin to release float you really don't explain how u are doing that. A bunch of simple instruction would be very helpful. Also, I can sort of guess how you cleaned the carburetor but it would be nice to see how you clean it.

Hello Sasquatch thanks for viewing! Yes love to find a trash pick Toro Personal Pace a rare find sitting beside the trash pickup cart. I could smell it walking up to it to know what the problem was just old stale gas. A good carburetor cleaning and gas tank and it started right up love it when rich people throw out something this nice!

I finally got myself a Toro Recycler, I got a 20332 with the bag that needs the outer bag replaced for $10, it runs but shakes BAD, blade is HORRIBLE. I've never been happier to get a mower in my whole life. I've found on these that it's VERY important to make sure that the needle seats aren't swollen, I replace them on every machine that I have any doubt about, since they're known to cause surging and a misfire from experience. I actually buy from the same parts wholesaler I believe that you do.

In watching yours an other videos, the common problems seem to be old gas left in the mower clogging up the carburetor, oil and/or excessive debris in the air filter, and tons of grass underneath. If people just followed the maintenance section of the owner's manual, you wouldn't have any mowers to fix. I wonder what it's like to throw away $300.00 worth of equipment because you can't be bothered to follow simple instructions . . . with pictures even!

Same goes for computers. You'd be amazed, or maybe not, by just how many I get from the recycle bins that only need the cooling system cleaned out.

Hello Pete thanks very much it sure is just a little carburetor cleaning and replacing that brittle rubber seat and runs like brand new! What a great find rescued from being put out for the morning garbage pickup!

On used mowers like this one, I've found that when ethanol was used that a new carb is a must. Cleaning those corroded carbs most of the time, you still have a running issue. New Chinese carbs are roughly $20.00 delivered to your door.

nice, I have a similar Toro model with 6.5HP. Have not used it for more than 10 yeas. Amazed to find out it's still working (kind of). But it stops after a few minutes. Funny thing is after a dozens (like 10-12) restarts, then it works fine (I guess it's warm up?). I suspect it's same problem. Where did you get the rubber piece? Thanks.

I work on these small engines , people aren't very smart to let the equipment to sit out in the elements . And then wonder why they get where they don't run right .
