Québec used to have thriving Chinatown ,but it was completely razed for a highway. This has happened time and again from Africville to Old Chinatown in Toronto. the dominnat cultural hegemony crushes the beauty that could be, along with school propoganda so Québecois and Canadians think their revisionist history of kumbaya land is true.

I'm from Quebec and I can speak French and English fluently. My English accent is actually closer to the American accent rather than the English Canadian one (or at least, that's what I've been told by Americans and Canadians I met in Japan). XD lol I also speak some Japanese, but only around N3 level... Although my listening skill is around N2, so I was able to understand 90% of what the Japanese guy said about Toronto and its diversity. 😊 I had some Mandarin classes as a university student, but that was many years ago, so I just remember basic sentences, reading, and writing. I only had one class of Spanish in college. It was easy back then, but I've forgotten most of it to be honest... 😅 At some point, I learned how to write and read hangul after discovering about Korean culture in college too, but that's it. I only know basic sentences. lol I wanted to learn Russian a few years ago when I started dating my boyfriend, but l quickly realized that its grammar is way more complicated than French, so I kind of gave up. XD To be fair, he told me his English is better than his Russian as he mostly grew up in the US. lol
