The video has these really organic transitions between being "on location" and being "inside the music/the action" - e.g. after 0:08 when the break in the music fades into the ice rink atmosphere, and then loads the spring with the "Toronto" images, staging another break with your own "hello" with the action already waiting under the surface, so it can pop right back up with "Heeeaaatheerr..." at 0:40 and then full kick at 0:54 -- that's some really great editing stuff!! I also love how it builds back up from "quiet zamboni on the rink" at 2:40 into the action. I wonder what it is about the music, but it's really important to draw the viewer into the action somehow.

My question is, how do you network with other freestylers to put on events and meetups such as this? Thanks!

Hello, Thank you so much for your support and that is so awesome to see you spread and grow freestyle in your area. Do you mind me asking where in the western US? Social media is the best way for me to connect with freestylers like yourself, we find eachother on Instagram, KZbin, Etc. and I post where I will travel to and try to message locals. In some locations it can be hard to find freestylers and sometimes they aren't on social media so we just have to go to rinks and see if we run into anyone. The large meetups are planned in advance with local teams I have found online or have met already. Hopefully we can meet up some day as well, let me know if you have any questions or want help with contacts of locals in certain areas, its a great community that is very connected.

Absolutely, I've learned so much from you already! I'm from Spokane, WA and although I did create a FB freestyle ice skating group and have a handful of people here locally, my goal is to go way beyond and eventually connect with folks abroad. Thanks for the information, that's definitely useful - I'm also open to connecting with people. Looking forward to meet you and skate in person sometime...😉
