Fun fact - 25 years ago there would have been signs warning you not to swim in the water because it was to polluted. However they did a really thorough cleanup. Part of which was massively upgrading the waste facilities to make sure stuff was not getting dumped in the lake but the really impressive elements where stuff like Chester Marshes. They tore ought the old Industrial regions around the foot of the Don River and installed a big marsh. The marsh is really interesting (it is in the middle of the city). It is near the foot of the Don Valley. You think you are in a natural marsh (well unless you are familiar with actual natural marshes) but it is all man made to filter the river.

The one big downside is that Mosquito's are about twice as common in Toronto now that they built a marsh.

I look forward to my water taxi ride to the centre islands the same way as I do the actual visit to the islands. The islands are such a nice serene place to visit away from the busy streets of Toronto especially on week days. Just energises one's senses.

I am sorry to sound rude but I think you should know about the rules and regulations about the island you are at and not devalue it, you have posted several videos for different park and beaches and you show that you guys are having a fun time with friends (which is a good thing) but also just drink where it is not allowed. like can you please read stuff online and then do things or even if you do, can you please not post it on youtube and encourage others to do wrong. hope you read and address the issue next time. there is a fine for having open alcohol containers in possession which you did not buy at the island.
