Thank you for clicking on this video! Today we take a ride on Toronto Transit Commission's 2007 Orion VII OG 8008. This order (8000-8099) is the 3rd order of Orion VII OG Diesels and the last. In January 2013, units 8000-8011 were repainted, had some interior seats removed, had luggage racks installed and turned into Airport buses that ran on the 192 Airport Rocket now known as the 900 Airport Express. These Airport OGs are in the process of being retired with 4 being left at the time of this video being recording. As of January 6, 2023 the remaining 4 units were pulled from service and retired. These units are powered by a Cummins ISL EPA 2007 280HP engine paired with a Allison B400R 5 speed transmission. These units feature 34 American Seating Mode 6468 and ride on ArvinMeritor axles. Unit 8008 is based out of TTCs Queensway Division.
This video was filmed on route 900 Airport Express Northbound to Pearson Airpirt starting ay Kipling Subway Station and ending at Pearson Airport Terminal 1. Route 900 Airport Express travels North and South using mostly Highway 427 to connect passengers from Kipling Subway Station to Pearson Airport. Route 900 Airport Express is based out of TTCs Queensway Division.
