Very nice video. I think it's good to appreciate the efforts rather than criticizing the upload

Posted in 2013, but this seems to be a much older video. Informative anyway.

I believe it was uploaded 8 years ago but it was edited in the 80s. Nice video regardless : )

What is this from 1823?
@Pricopea8 жыл бұрын
I know right! Especially with the scarface music and the narrator's voice sounding like ancient aliens

Nearby Niagara Falls?! It's nearly 90 minutes away, past another city! And "University"? Nobody refers to University of Toronto as that. Being over 20 years old, these scenes are missing a lot of condos.

This video is so outdated! The city has literally doubled in size, and the skyline have 100% more skyscrapers then when this video was made, it literally looks like a smaller version of Manhattan, and surpasses Chicago in the number of skyscrapers and people, come here and you'll be blown away by its huge skyline!

Looks like it was made in 92. Judging by the new glass tower on yinge and queens quay

And the transit system has definitely not kept up with the population since then.
@JoshuaKennington18 жыл бұрын
alongfortheride84 I'd give a decent blame for the government, since they don't really fund transit projects. I think they will now with Trudeau around, but unless we keep build LRT's, idk how we can have a really streamlined, fast transit system on all lines.
@alongfortheride848 жыл бұрын
Are LRT's faster than subways? Or do you mean they're just faster and cheaper to build and therefore probably the right solution?
@JoshuaKennington18 жыл бұрын
+alongfortheride84 I mean that the city and council, with its lack of funds for transit, is more likely to approve a more LRT heavy project, that is, in the suburbs, wheres in downtown, with the newly proposed Downtown Relief line, it would be alot more needed for a subway, for this line would be used alot more when there are closures along Yonge or bloor, and that an LRT would never work for the height of the regular subway cars compared to an streetcar.
