What we NEED to do is extend their time of service in the H. of C. before they're eligible for a pension, to begin with. Three full, 4 year consecutive terms should be the minimum requirement to me ! I hear you, as I did the exact same thing while listening to Mr. Poillievre's July 2024 speech during the Calgary Stampede. I didn't realize just how much my anxiety had ramped up until the tears began to flow from the incredible relief of hearing this man, who truly loves our country, speaking of how he was going to bring back the Canada that I've grown up to know and love. We spent years and thousands to immigrate to Canada as nurses and to work to serve Canadians. We got our citizenship and planned to live our lives there. We were fired over the vaccine mandates and our bank account was frozen 2x by the Canadian government. We lost our home and with nothing left we fled back to the US.
