I was lucky enough that my college (UIET Panjab University Chandigarh) included Robotics, Mechatronics and CNCs in B.Tech Mechanical. And now I am pursuing Mtech in Artificial Intelligence from IIT Patna and I am working towards my desire of merging the Mechanical field with machine learning to create something valuable for the industry. For all the Mech guys out there, always remember that no branch is outdated or irrelevant, it just needs to be updated.

@sagararora99572 жыл бұрын
@@AdityaVerma-rn9jn If you looking for research activities then yes it's pretty good.. Faculty will help and guide you.. We have a system of clubs and chapter where students used to work after college hours on different types of project like autonomous vehicle(ARC,team autoz), racing cars(Pravega, Baja sae), drones etc to participate in international tournament. You will also get immense opportunity to get in touch with international students for research through faculty. BTW international relation of VIT is quite good I mean better than few IIT's.
@sagararora99572 жыл бұрын
@@sarthakkumarbehera1015 Yes. It's upto you also there is an option of elective subjects other than core subjects, in which you can take subjects of any field... If you talk about conventional fossil fuel and equipments based on that, it's actually consists of 1% of mechanical engineering, which will be obsolete in future.

Some points about career in software which I think was not properly mentioned is that, in software industry also experience matters a lot. 1. The freshers hired in software companies have not learned the actual technologies used in that particular companies. Different companies use different technologies and it's impossible for a student to learn all of them. Also even if the student has learned the technology he has not learned and applied it at a scale that is used in the company. 2. The freshers hired in software companies who write the code are at the bottom of the team. The team is run and handled by senior software engineers and getting to senior roles requires lots of experience. The senior roles require minimum years of experience even to apply. So a fresher cannot possible be better than a senior software engineer.

The next person you will hire will be smarter than you. Accept this. Gauav Sir is such a sorted guy not just in his career but also in life. Why I am saying this? The issues he is talking about the fuel being used for solving questions is long gone. Trust me now the game is of Kwh Wh specific energy and it is for every industry irrespective of your engineering branch solar wind Vehicles heavy-duty vehicles solar packs Vehicle to grid vehicle to vehicle. My teacher who has done their Ph.D. from IITs is unable to answer me whether the power coming from the engine is divided equally to both tires at back or it is different. Imagine that!!!!!! Industry 4.0 is not here it is already here almost a decade ago watch Metro Railway's clear example of Industry 4.0. Ather 450 scooter best example of industry 4.0. Indian Railways 12000HP electric engine is an engineering marvel. Alstom designed it with Indian Railways engineers. Long gone are days of calling yourself, mechanical engineers. Call your engineer. Engineer your inner self in your life and then do something for society. Engineering Jobs don't create wealth in one day or year you can be consultant with your job and create wealth in few years.. Be it CS, IT, or mechanical. Engineering was a choice for me especially Mechanical and Automobile not an option back then to till this day.

Mechanical engineering is dying not because it has become obsolete. People are doing excellent research and it's highly effective as well for future applications. The main issue is the "opportunity cost". If you put an equal amount of effort in mechanical engineering and artificial intelligence or finance related stuff, due to its higher demand and higher pay, AI or Finance are studied the most.

Now the generation is like , whatever a successful person is doing they want the same too. Any thoughts ? People get easily influenced for example If you are a public figure and have done B. Many core startups incubated there . working on future technology like flying taxy , hyperloop etc & many mech people researching in AI. many of them going outside country for PHD . U can never get such experiences & such career profile after normal college.
