That was pretty dang good pitch Jeff! Got me looking for another 2 grand laying around somewhere. Problem is it seems to be somewhere else.

I know this is old but really good info. Torqeedo is not a trolling motor. It is a kayak ultra lite outboard. U pay for what u get!!!!
@TheLittleStuff Жыл бұрын
Yep! You pay for remaining range knowledge, powerful rare earth magnets and the highest energy density lithium cells available.

The motor pylon also has a planetary gear reduction. This allows the motor to operate at a much higher RPM and lower current. Also makes the propeller spin slower and it has more pitch. Trust me... I have a 12 inch propeller turning at 500RPM with a 48V 6kW inboard motor with 2.8:1 gear reduction.

Totally agree there is no point comparing a trolling motor with q TORQEEDO o would say a TORQEEDO is a powerful propulsion system

Yah but id rater go 4 mph with a 100$ troll motor than 6 with a 2000$ one but thats just me

Way to expensive ! I’d rather have a quiet small gas engine 👍🏼! I’m not a tournament fisherman and need the option of getting to shore fast if the need arise.

My Twin Troller X-10 costs $3,000 ( sold factory direct ) and ships for $300. ( Boat weighs 175 lbs. ) No, I can't carry or drag my Twin Troller, nor can I toss it on the roof of a car. But 1 man can easily manage it from the bed of a PU truck or large enough SUV, using the optional custom dolly ( $169 ) to go to and from the water. No launch ramp necessary that way. I choose to trailer mine. The Twin Troller is a hi-grade roto-molded seamless hull that is 10' long by 4' wide, pontoon style, with an EXCELLENT forward bow jutting past the front of each pontoon, and extra wide gunnel around the front that gives a near total dry ride. HOWEVER, the unique patented design is the TWIN SALTWATER GRADE MotorGuide trolling motor heads ( no long stem & bulky mounting base ) that are hidden & recessed UP INSIDE each pontoon, and 95% protected with flush mounted weed/brush guards. I can run right over floating logs & cut through fields of lily pads & Kissimmee grass like a knife through hot butter. Boat operates in only 7 to 8 inches of water. The twin motors total 72 lbs of thrust. That's a lot of thrust for a 175 lb boat. Battery lasts all day. The twin motors kick butt vs 1 trolling motor in wind & current. I can hold perfect position in wind & most current. The motors used with the unique TWIN pedals are TRUE variable speed, which uses less power than a pre-set speed selector dial found on other trolling motors. BUT HERE IS THE BEST PART: Each twin pedal/motor has infinite forward AND reverse, and operates independently like a skid-steer. Using my feet only, I can spin a 360 ON AXIS......I can also go straight backwards, and perform super tight, zig zag turns if needed. Boat comes with 2 NICE seats & towers, like sitting in a comfy computer chair, and each seat spins 360 degrees. 1 OR 2 anglers can sit or stand to fish. Each side tray is extra deep, NO rod straps even needed. I haul 8 baitcaster outfits that lay so flat, 4 in each side tray, I can actually stand on either side tray, and the soles of my shoes don't even touch my rods, with yet more room in each tray for smaller items like pliers & scales. Plenty of room for tackle & gear in the floor. I also have the optional 14 gal custom live well that fits right under the front seat tower. Two large men weighing 200 lbs each can stand on the SAME side tray and NOT capsize the Twin Troller. It is also UNsinkable. I also have a 3.5 hp 4-stroke Tohatsu outboard on mine to go faster during long runs. The transom is SO strong, I can leave the outboard on, even when trailering over rough roads. Boat can be customized with add-on mods just like any good kayak. I really dig the better kayaks, especially the new Bonafide SS127. But I absolutely LOVE my Twin Troller X-10. I've owned it for nearly 2 years now. It has EXCEEDED my every expectation.......and for an entire fishing boat that comes with the unique twin electric drive & foot pedal steering, plus 2 NICE swivel seats all as STANDARD EQUIPMENT.......the price tag of $3,000 is hard to beat. 100% made in the USA too. MY ENTIRE TWIN TROLLER RIG WITH STANDARD TWIN ELECTRIC PROPULSION SYSTEM & NEW 3.5 hp TOHATSU 4-STROKE OUTBOARD COSTS LESS THAN A HOBIE PRO ANGLER WITH TORQEEDO W/BEST BATTERY.

Where did you get those wire "whiskers" protecting the prop and lower unit? It's all plastic, yachties are complaining the prop and housing break instantly into small pieces when you hit a rock.

If only the price was lower trolling motor and a deep cycle can be had for about 250,bucks this things over a grand

Who thought it was a good idea to record a video next to a fast moving river? Come on now

I'm sure these are high quality motors but the average guy isn't sitting on the kind of money it takes to get your hands on one.

Problem with your argument is there are lithium batteries for the regular trolling motor also. The torqeedo is just too expensive
@wolfpack9688 Жыл бұрын
This video is years old but trolling motors are still not as fast even with lithium.

Jeff, I'm trying to find a video of installing a 403ac on a 2021 Native Slayer Propel 10 Max. Is there one? Is there any advice for such an installation? Do I need an adapter mount? I can't seem to get in touch with anyone who knows.

This document lists out all of the installation videos I have done: media.torqeedo.com/downloads/manuals/Frequently%20Asked%20Questions%20on%20Torqeedo%20Ultralight-ef.pdf

Question, can it still be used at super slow speeds like a trolling motor? Im sort of looking to kill two birds with one stone here.

Is possibile use the torquedo like motorguide?
@TheLittleStuff2 жыл бұрын
Do you mean “spot lock”? If so, no, it requires your steering to stay on a spot.

@@TheLittleStuff yes i mean use the torqueedo to keep the position on water
