thank you for all the good information. as you know torque wrench been in the industry for a long time. without torque wrench one would not be able to make precision equipment. I don't know how accurate the setting must be on a dental implant torque wrench and how forgiving is the jaw bone. But I am thinking a torque wrench with a spring is an approximation and not an accurate torque measurement. the torque reading is dependent on doc's eye, sight angle, lighting... but a torque wrench that clicks is not dependent on anything except its own mechanism. usually toque wrenches are kept as one of the jewels of any tool box and are kept very clean, lubed and ready to go. nobody touches it no body borrows it...
