You can tell that Jim is still in love with Barbara. It's so sweet but yet so sad because he's still calling Barbara "My Girl". My heart ♥ goes out to Jim because of everything he's been through. My heart ♥ also goes out to Barbara's family, may they get the closer they need, plus I also hope that they find the person/persons who did this. Rest in Peace Barbara, may your killer be found and punished for taking your life too soon ❤❤

I was 18 in '78 and spent many a night camping out on the beach with friends/boyfriends. Also hitchhiked from time to time and thought nothing of it. I lived in NorCal and Ted Bundy was on the loose ( of course nobody knew who he was at that time ) as well as several other, now infamous, west coast serial killers. At 65 now, I feel grateful that my youthful risk taking didn't result in something bad happening. The follies of youth aren't kind for many innocent kids just doing what kids do. RIP Barbara, you didn't deserve this, nor did your boyfriend. :-(

It is very comprehensible: we are complex and complicated creatures. There are people with serious and severe mental illnesses, sadly. But it is normal and it occurs more than you can imagine. That brain of ours is an extremely powerful machine.

Turn down the volume on that administration: he’s a simple human being, probably with very serious problems, like everyone else. Love and admire (the same level as you’re giving Phelps) to a deserving person in your life: your mom, dad, uncle, friend…. Someone who has done something substantial in your life (not investigating or writing fiction). Peace and love.

I grew up at this time and it is hard to remember we didn't have cell phones or computers. But as teens and young adults stuff like that happens to others. When I think of some of the adventures we got up to, I find I feel lucky, I or my friends could have had misadventures that ended this way. The victims, the victims families, the pain is forever!💙 Bless Barbara, Jim and the families💙

I bet if they re-scrutenized Jims clothing they might find a minuscule amount of DNA. To beat someone as bad as he was you would think some spittle, sweat or snot may have been spattered upon him somewhere from the feirosity of the attack.

My Guess the killer knows the area very well ! Local for some time , only gose out at night , ( vampire hours ) he has some hang up w / girls cheating or someone murdered her , and is a scout master who knows weapons !

This was a parent of a young girl that did not listen to her parents and did what she want. The murderer was a broken parent eho wanted to get back at all the children, not obeying their parents. Think they're own child maby could have died and thats what started the hatred towards children not listening
