Tortoise table humidity maintenance

I have a baby Eastern Hermann's in a wooden table with a humid hide and I spray daily, I have the heat bulb 10 inches away from the substrate but it still dries out in less than 5 minutes. Substrate is reptisoil and coir 50/50. I have spagnum moss in a humid hide but even that dries out pretty fast. Best wishes

Yeah becarefull with humidity it caused my sulcata respiritory infection all you need to do is dampen the substrate but not soaking ❤

Are these Western Hermann Tortoises? Or Dalmatians?

Eastern, all you can get in canada. Westerns are brighter with a key hole scute
