Its a great game, but the game really reminds me of ds2. The game really has a lot of problem, and probably more ‘bad’ than ‘good’. But the ‘good’ are very creative, unique and fun that let the game standout from all other souls-like. I enjoyed both ds2 and lotf. You really should try it.

@@purish215 sure man. Right now I’m soft locked infront of bramis castle gate on my level 1 run because of some shitty bug with the withered rune of adyr. My other character is soft locked as well. This issue existed since October 2023 now its February 2024. Definitely an issue that is ‘being fixed’. Like I said the game is great and very enjoyable but theres a shit ton of bugs and weird designs. Multiplayer connection somehow worst than every souls game even after the ‘fix’ because everything is client sided. Like ds2 the game is flawed with some weird designs, but it really did add a lot of new and interesting mechanics which in my opinion makes the game worth my time. To me, the story of Sophesia, Bramis and their child was the most fascinating, beautiful and tragic puzzle of the entire game. Thank you so much for this video! But I do believe the veiled woman wearing a spiked crown and breaking the seal holding Adyr in the cinematic trailer is in fact Judge Cleric, as that's exactly how her corrupted boss version looks like in the game. Not sure what kind of "deal" Sophesia made with Adyr, but it's clear that Bramis became way more corrupted than her, in the end.
@ONobreBabuino11 ай бұрын
the crown and the veil look identical to sophesia however, and along with this, the woman in the cinematic isnt frail and have blood in her hands, as her painting depicts
@Ionutcgrama11 ай бұрын
Where in the game or the official concept art is Sophesia portraied like that? I can't find anything, except the images in this video which may have been taken out of context. In the Bramis Castle portraits, Sophesia looks very different. But corrupted Judge Cleric looks exactly like that in the game and concept art. @@Ionutcgrama the crown of the painting and the cinematic are pretty much the same, and the woman in the cinematic doesn't have armour AND a veil covering her face, along with having blood on her hands, things we can see from the painting of Sophesia shown in this video judge cleric, while having a similar crown, is notably different when you compare both models, and she has a pale-like skin with frail facial features and doesnt have blood coming out of her hands. along with this, the woman in cinematic doesnt wear armour, judge cleric still does

Could it be that Sophesia’s bargain with Adyr had more to do with her pregnancy than saving the kingdom? Thus explaining why the child could have become such a horrible monster? There has to be something more about Edivar’s transformation into that fire giant. All the items you have to bring to her are related to Edivar, it’s clear that what she did to him is the primary source of her trauma and “madness”, I think more so than Adyr’s influence.

The stuff about adyr and orius seemed pretty well fleshed out in the games storytelling. The thing that seems confusing to me is where the umbral ties in. It seems like just coincidence that all of this is built over a giant shrine sealing away an eldritch horror. Why a third faction is able to craft lanterns harnessing the power of something way worse than adyr to fight against him... Both the radiant and infeno aligned factions seem totally aware of it and not really caring much more than the mentions of adyr being wary of the lightreaper The wayfarer seems like he was meant to give insight about it but he never really says anything more than the obvious
@Sometuy11A11 ай бұрын
Adyr created the lightreaper way before the lampbearer mission started to hunt down every lampbearer and umbral creature in Axiom (we see him fight the hollow crow) to stop the threat of umbral.

PS. I love it that motherhood is a permeating theme of the game. Failed mothers who crave some sort of peace or vengeance, in fact. Sophesia, the Putrid Mother, the pregnant monsters of Umbral, the Cleric Judge as a holy mother figure. While the fathers are brutal, dominating figures - Adyr, Bramis, the Mendacious Visage etc (well, Adyr is both, in fact, as his face is half feminine).

After going through an interview another creator had with the lead creative director, Cesar Virtosu, it might actually be that the queen was not at all communicating with Adyr as she assumed. It is merely thought that the whispers from the ground are Adyr's because it's a common belief that the colossal hand is actually part of the god's physical form while the rest of the body is buried beneath the ground. Here is the aforementioned part of the interview. "So the queen of Mournstead, in her desire to have children...she is the woman that you see [in the cinematic] listening to the whispers; she's the queen of Mournstead, and she heard Adyr's whispers and voice in that cave. You can go to that cave and hear whispers. Is it Adyr who speaks from the bowels of the earth? You don't know. There is a lot of environmental storytelling." With the whole reason behind the construction of the Skyrest Bridge being to separate the dead from the ground, the whispers that drove the miners mad and the umbral's influence coming from deep underground, we can safely assume the whispers were not Adyr's but some umbral creature or the putrid mother herself.

People might say this is proof that Adyr is evil: I disagree. He was the kindly shepherd of mankind for centuries, and then his own children turned against him. It’s only fair that he enact his wrath on any who would cling to the apostate beliefs of the false judges so completely. They earned this pain the day their ancestors cast him down, betrayed his love and spurned his mercy. It fits with my own, personal title for the game: Lords of the Fallen, or more accurately, “Humanity getting _exactly_ what it fucking deserves”
