Sold in 2014, I think the guy who bought it made some changes to it that I highly discouraged due to the way the engine was built to have a high rev limit, high compression and low boost (he added a cheap methanol/water injection kit, more boost to increase low down power, aggressive meth based map and no safeguards) and destroyed the £5000-6000 racespec engine on a track day because the water/methanol tank ran dry, the higher boost will have created more heat, and the more aggressive map designed for methanol injection probably had too much ignition advance for straight petrol and high IAT with potentially no ECU trims for it..... might be sad to hear but people can be pretty stupid when it comes to power greed I'm afraid, I'm sure he feels it now, the car was made for revving to 8k on a track not low down power so not really sure why he bought it. *Sigh*

@@batousan_ I really liked the preparation you had done. it was a very good car and you demonstrated how an r53 can be a weapon in tight mixes. I still love seeing your old videos
