I cheered twice during this tournament. When Hawk beat Robby and when Tory beat Sam. Robby, Tory and Hawk had easily my favorite story arcs this season and I really like how their characters grew. Sam on the other hand went from a character I tolerated to one I out right hate and loathe. I really hope the next season they give her a story arc that allows her character to grow and become likable because as it is I wouldn't care of her character was completely written out of the show.

@@beccahawkins1905 she is a very self centered character. Take this season when she approached Robby to try and bring him back. She was so focused on what she wanted, IE bringing him back for her dad, she didn't even stop to think for a second how Robby would feel training Karate next to his ex who was with his rival. The way she constantly harassed Tory who was just trying to do her job and kept antagonizing her believing there was little she could do. She is literally at prom with Miguel and is focused almost entirely on Robby and Tory instead of just having a good time. I could go on and on but she really was just a constant bitch and while Tory and Robby are not innocent they really grew up a lot this season and became far more sympathetic and relatable. Sam really hasn't been a good character in any season but she was at least tolerable but this last season just made her so terrible. I'm hoping the combination of her loss, Miguel leaving and her brother growing, which we got a tease of, Chozen being the new sensai etc is going to help her character grow and become as good as the rest but atm she is the worst character in the series for me.

I mean Tory tried to kill Sam in the school fight and broke into her house and terrorized her. So you really can't fault Sam for being petty and trying to stand her ground against Tory. I know that we saw Tory character grow and we had a better understanding of her, but we can't fault Sam for her actions against her since she really doesn't know what's going on with Tory and that Tory is trying to change.

As Tory finds out later, Terry Silver cheated by paying off the ref. I don't know if that would have affected the final outcome or not if he hadn't. But since Tory caught him, I wonder if she will complain to Terry about this, since it puts a damper on her victory. Maybe that will be the start of her considering joining Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang.

No, he's actually a scorpion. The big kick for Silver, is that Silver had the understanding to become a "Yuppie", not remain a victim like Kreese did. Terry saw a bigger picture and thus prevailed in the end. If you look at the baby boomers, you'll see that some buried themselves in their traumas, while others saw the opportunity cloud and hopped aboard. America dumped all over the Vietnam vets ( Kreese's generation) but praised those who returned from WWII (guys in Miyagi's demographic). Both sets of guys had it hard, but Silver knew how to maximize opportunity and to hone life's ups and downs to his advantage. It'd be amazing if he took Tory in. He'd be able to help her to further sharpen her already keen wits (God, how I just raved at that glitter bomb attack) and show her how to transcend her discontentment to take on bigger things .

Yeah I was rooting for both Sam and Tory (because of her development this season) to the point where I was happy with which ever one of them won at this point. It just sucks that cobra Kai and Silver had to win along with Tory though because I knew that there was something up with the ref, his calls were totally off and now we all know why. Despite having a feeling that Silver was already playing dirty from behind the scenes to guarantee the win I was still shocked at seeing him bribing the ref and was heartbroken along with Tory because not only did Tory not win because the match itself wasn’t fair (although in my opinion I still put Tory the winner of the fight itself because she fought fairly on her own terms against Silvers orders) but that Silver stole Sam’s win right out from underneath her making them both victims of Silvers dirty play.
