In Leicester during the early 90's it was felt by it's black community that the reason that all of their community projects such as the B1 centre and even the drop in centre where women could claim free sanitary towels and get free smear tests were closed down was due to racism in the city council. The Hindu population live separately from the Muslim community and generally don't mix. they live alongside peacefully however. I cannot say whether the feelings of the black community are based on a suspicion or on reality but it would be a subject worth a sociologists attention.
