It's a demo AND free for everyone to try. I am sure they will fix this by the time the whole thing comes out in April 24th. The overall setting, gameplay and everything feels like Tiberium Wars and that is a very good thing. Looks like it's living up to the C&C-style RTS. Plus Frank Klepack is making the OST for this.

In whose favor?? GDF is more infantry focused while tempest dynasty is more vehicle focused but has better air units which is somewhat countered by dynasty having turrets on their structures

i wonder if the command and conquer community at large knows about the game "Beyond All Reason". that game is probably the best RTS game ever made based on the structure of the game and the power it gives the player to do exactly what they want. i miss the good old days of C&C generals zero hour but the games are just so dated its hard to be as enthusiastic about them. i found BAR and honestly it was refreshing. this game looks like more of the same C&C and honestly looks super clunky. i feel they never fully matched how good Zero Hour was with any other games they've made and even ZH had MANY issues. if they could improve the UI, work out balancing, and bring forward regular updates/mods i think C&C ZH would have been the one to rule them all

@xtommydazombieex5181 No, Supcom and the DLC and later Supcom 2 are all sequels. The original is TA made by Cavedog released in 1996 with the DLC Contingency released a year later. It was a ground breaking RTS games for it's time and still has dedicated fans, players and an online community forum with client to play pvp.

@@Xtoxinlolinecronomicon one thing i've noticed is that all of the GOOD rts games have their loyal followings and i love that so much about the communities. its what keeps the games alive and gives the future gen the chance to even experience the game. community supported games get a big W from me. i wouldnt mind trying out supreme commander or TA in the slightest. i am an RTS enthusiast myself i just enjoy the game format in general. i've just noticed what i hallmark as "a good" rts, BAR just does in spades and i've yet to be as excited about an RTS in recent times. gives me the vibes of discovering Command and Conquer Generals games when i was a kiddo. Even games like Age of Mythology. i truly wish more people enjoyed RTS games to expand the communities and bring more money into the space

@xtommydazombieex5181 Yeah, I agree. It's just a very overshadowed genre of games now. People enjoy turn based strategy more it seems like. No hate against Civilization or HOI, love those games as well. But if you like BAR you gotta try TA. BAR wouldn't even exist if not for TA (lots of buildings and units Share similarities from TA) and it's still really good even if you're not planning on playing pvp by downloading the online client. It's dirt cheap on Steam too and it runs on a toaster. Not 100% sure about Windows 11, but 10 and everything below the game works fine. You'll have to listen and play the campaign voice over and soundtracks at least once in your life. It's fantastic.

GDF(the other faction) has support powers afaik. Edit: They are on left side of screen, u can see em on this faction too. (I think those are the support powers)

@FightForFin I know but there are not many of them. Even RA3 has more active support powers, I mean something like airstrike, with direct damage. And no superweapons still isn't cool(

I'm glad you enjoyed the last game! Tempest Rising definitely has its moments. I think it offers some unique elements, but it will be interesting to see how it stacks up against CnC3 in the long run. More TR gameplay coming soon!

GDF can only place a couple of build sites at a time now, and the turret build sites are more expensive to place. It's doable but more limited and hurts/costs the player doing it more
