I saw Kevin Eubanks live at a guitar masterclass years ago. TIL this day he & Stanley are on my list of the top 10 guitarists I have ever heard in the entire world. Both are absolute VIRTUOSOs of improvisers. They take the meaning of prodigy & the word guitarist to a whole other level. What are great cover & the world is blessed to be fortunate to listen to them honey their craft together.

well it's a classic that 'almost demands' that by it's very [original] nature, so makes sense to me as well.👍and so far, I've not heard anyone rearrange this classic song with "fast notes." which, of course, would be fine for those who like them - whether they be musicians or consumers of music, to each their own re: preferences..& this cover by Toshiki Soejima is truly fantastic, imho & probably my favorite instrumental version of it.🎸

What a bass player! He knows exactly what to play and when there's space for him to show off a bit. He adjusts his energy so well to what the song needs at every point. All those little responses to licks from the guitarist and keyboardist. That being said, the rest of the band is very tight and tasteful too! A piece of rhythm section heaven.

1:28 Sweet little piece on the guitar. One thing I've come to learn over the years having listened to many styles of music from Japan (from the 1970s to the present) is how outstanding the level of musicianship is. With that also comes tremendous levels of feeling, groove and pure passion for making music. It has been a pleasure listening to this wonderful piece of music. ありがとうございました

The Japanese are a dedicated and spiritual people. That is why their culture superceedes the remainder of the so called educated west. They see honour and loyalty in all they do, including music. If it isnt right, do it until it is. Thats why this is so good.
