My band have announced that we're going to play this tune. They've made it sound great and have put some fantastic jazzy chords underneath the violin/whistle. So, "learn this", they said. I am a beginner really so thanks so much for this. Goodness knows if I'll ever get (literally) up to speed but this is such a great help. Fantastic. Thanks.

Stephanie, You say you have no words, but you have lots of waves and curls... Haha...You had something to do with that didn't you? They are beautiful. Thank you! Actually you have all the words you needed today... And those are ... "Enjoy winter" and "Keep being awesome". "Enjoy winter" is very appropriate now for it is winter here or close enough to winter for me. It's 32 degrees and felt like 32 when I was just outside giving cookie treats to my special female sweethearts... They are my raccoons of course. The females are always the sweetest. Although there are a lot of males here, there was a very special male never to be forgotten and never to be replaced. May he rest in peace. He was at least twelve years old... A very long life span for a wild and free raccoon. It takes alotta luck and alotta love to keep one alive that long. There is much more to be said about him but not here and now. The words "Keep being awestruck" instead of your words "Keep being awesome" would be more appropriate for I'm always awestruck by your beauty, charm and talent. That little lopsided eyebrow thing you did at the end is very cute, but actually you are very symmetrical... Symmetry is a universally accepted characteristic of all attractive and beautiful people or at least that is what I've read. In any case, your symmetry and your beautiful hair and sweater are working wonders today for your beautiful awesome-ness. Now I'll have you know that it's not like we didn't have a video on Friday because you had that cozy beautiful practice video of this song on your Instagram page. As I've said before... It's always like you to over deliver in one way or the other. Please remember... it's not always necessary but always appreciated. Thank you! And while I have your Instagram page on my mind I think it's about time that I thank you for keeping your promise by posting some of your bizarre Halloween costumes there. I must say that you really go all out when it comes to Halloween costumes. Who needs or cares about Eartha Kitt, Julie Newmar, Lee Meriwether, and Holly Berry when Cutiepie Stephanie enters the room dressed as Catwoman! When I saw that photo of you I just wanted to pick you up and drop you to see if you would land on your feet. Haha... You know I'm just kidding... If I were to pick you up, dropping you would be the last thing on my mind. You and your purrrr-fect figure... it's all so amazing! Oh, I almost forgot about the song... Toss the notes would be more appropriate... What I mean is... it is a very fast little tune! And you played it fast enough. And it sounded like music because that is just one of the things that you do on this channel other than helping me to grow new hair and creating deeper smile lines on my face. Thank you for all that you do and please try to enjoy winter! I love you to say the very least!

These days when it comes to playing whistle people often confuse "fast" playing with "good" playing. I would far rather hear a great tune like this played well at a moderate tempo than to hear it fumbled it at 100 miles an hour.
@saespell6 жыл бұрын
Indeedy. I have heard many whistlers play so fast that they trip up on the notes and lose the melody, it makes me wince. Getting to know a tune is somewhat like forging a relationship ;)
@stonewall016 жыл бұрын
I agree. Personally I would rather play a song correctly at a slower speed rather than trying to go fast and getting discouraged from making mistakes. Unfortunately that did happen when I was first starting to play but later I learned the value of both patience and persistence. The more I play and understand the music, I find, the faster I will get. That is just my experience anyway, everyone is different of course.

@@stonewall01 Here on YT you can find a post -Micho Russell (1915-1994). He is one of the all time great Irish players.If you watch this post you will hear some wonderful playing which certainly isn't played at a mega high speed tempo. I think we could all learn a lot by listening to players like him.

The first row of the tabs "dedaded abcagege dedaded aDDbcage" , when you play the DD at 1:30 you seem to cover all the holes. I started playing tin whistle 12minutes ago (your how to play tin whistle video was 8minutes59seconds of that). It does sound better if I also cover all the holes in aDDbcage. What is the source of this decrepancy?
@CutiepieTinWhistle3 жыл бұрын
Different whistles play the high D BETTER in different ways. Sometimes the top finger hole open, sometimes closed. It's mostly just easier for me to play all holes closed, less fiddling around. My fingers don't go very fast so the less I have to remember the better 🤣🤣
Hi Cutie Pie ! I practice tnx a lot but i think there’s a little difference at 2:37 between what you play and what is write ... isn’t it ?? But thanks again for all that work !!!

I'm knocking out some songs I have played on my harmonica. I wasn't to go at that but I just play for my enjoyment. Its better than a lot of other things that I could be doing. Like get into trouble. I started learning this 13 years ago, but never finished so I'm back. I was playing along and since no one has mentioned it - In the section on top line at the end you play GEAAGAGED instead. You did this intentionally as you repeated it at each of the same part. Looks like you must of learnt it from a different tab (its sounds correct). Good job btw.

Thank you for putting up this song, I love it. I have a question about the second "page" of the sheet music. The last part of the first line the tabs say: GEAAGEGED but when I play along it does not sound good. Is it correct you are playing GEAAGAGED ? because I got confused here
