On those "anonymous tips that result in rubber stamp warrents", no one can convince me those are Constitutional. The 4th and 6th Amendment work hand in hand on that. We are gaurenteed the right to face our accusers in the 6th, some may argue that that only applies in court proceedings. If the rubber stamp warrent results in an arrest and charges, the complainant will have to testify in court to satisfy the gaurentee. In the 4th, we are gaurenteed that no warrent shall be issued except for probable cause, that can't be satisfied if there is again, no complaints. Along with "Cival Asset Forfeiture", "anonymous tips" must be done away with to enjoy the rights granted by God and affirmed in our Bill of Rights.

A recent CNN investigation highlighted the problem of unlicensed gun dealing in America. An aide said the campaign read the investigation as it was crafting the proposal. Another part of Harris’ proposal would revoke the licenses of gun manufacturers and dealers who break the law and, for the worst cases, the Harris plan would make them criminally liable. It would also fine gun corporations up to $500,000 for each violation, using that money for community-based violence intervention programs and mental health treatment. Currently, a 2005 law called the Protection of Commerce in Arms Act (PLCAA) shields the gun industry from liability when third parties use weapons for criminal purposes, but not from the federal government, argues Harris. Harris’ plan also reverses a Trump administration action that narrowed the definition of “fugitive from justice,” which allows a gun sale unless a person can be shown to have fled a state for the purpose of avoiding charges. Anyone with an outstanding arrest warrant would be denied from purchasing a gun under Harris’ proposal. The Harris plan also expands a federal law that prohibits gun sales to domestic violence abusers. So, a ban on the fictitious "assault weapons" (aka anything the government feels like banning, by the use of an undefined and undefinable term); requiring anyone who sells 5 guns in a year to be classified as a dealer of firearms (which normally to date has required an FFL- which they are resisting issuing- and so someone selling their collection better watch the calendar and space them out over a really long period of time because if there's 5 within a year window anywhere in there they may get to find out what "criminally liable" is going to entail). Not sure how this "criminally liable" clause applies to firearms manufacturers, but the way they invoke the PLCAA as not applying protections from the federal government, it sounds like they actually want to charge a manufacturer for crimes committed by an actual criminal who happens to [mis]use one of their firearms in the the commission of a crime. A warrant for arrest (any warrant for anything- not conviction) will result in loss of rights to obtain a firearm. Not sure where the line is drawn on determining a dating partner misdemeanor domestic abuser, but that sounds like a net that could be expanded pretty much at will, so a ban on owning firearms for ever for a misdemeanor offense for someone not in the same domicile (which I had thought was part of the rationale for having stricter codes for domestic abuse than regular assault). Then there's the stated follow-on "salvos"- in addition to that "assault weapons" ban, there's one for being convicted of a "federal hate crime", which sounds like a lot broader category than any of the laws dealing with actual crime (like assault, theft, robbery, battery, murder) used to be- if this ever extends to not using someone's "preferred pronoun", well.. So, you're welcome.

Yes yes; I have seen it in slo-mo.....the bullet hits the steel, the lead squirts through the copper jacket while it daisy's out and bounces back in the shooters direction. Old steel core 762x39 was especially good at this trick. My 350lb. experienced this in the mid 90s. Luckily the sharp edged jacket only penatrated about a half inch of fat.

I see a big issue with the tip line, anti gun people aren’t just against firearms they’re against anything that launches a projectile I have a feeling if they got their way and banned firearms they would go after big bore air guns next since the caliber range is fairly large up to .72 caliber, I have 3 2 of which are chambered in .357 (9mm) and the last one is chambered in .50 caliber and these things will sling a slug over 800fps which may not sound like a lot compared to a firearm they have been shown to take down different sized animals even hogs with their thick skin as a matter of fact there is an entire community of people who hunt with big bore air rifles and collect them as well not to mention are helpful when you have a question or an issue!
