screwing new holes is pretty scary if you dont do regular work on your car. My taco got 27k miles on it and I installed these no problem. Bed was already flexing by a few millimeters I think(?). I take my beast on uneven trails so its a must for me

No need at all to remove the top bolt to remove the taillight

They can’t be backwards. There is no left or right. It just depends on how you want to put them.

I would think the way he's got them mounted would be the correct way so you can attach to the rings of the stiffners. I'd think other way it would be to close to the tailgate. But i haven't seen it closed
