I have been a musician for 50 plus years and I have seen and heard so many incredible bands. In the past 10 to 20 years there really has been no band that has been impressive to me. Now since finding Band-Maid on Facebook in 2014, I believe they are the face of progressive rock for our future. Kanami Tono's writing and composing skills are by far the best. Miku Kobato's writing of lyrics is amazing and Saiki Atsume singing is getting better and better every time I hear her. This video is from their new Blu-ray DVD coming out on April 29th I believe. As a musician I believe these are the most talented musicians in the world today. (IMO) love your channel and your reactions. Keep Rocking... 🎸🎸🎸🎶🎶

Charles , we have parallel lives haha. i am also musician playing 50 yrs too. Agree with every word you wrote. .These girl are saving rock n roll for the planet. I have never been such a fan of any band, since FREE, til these girls came along. They are my new goddesses of style, music talent,and performance. They amaze me again and again. but this performance is IN - FUCKING - SANE ! Fan for life i Australia , even though they will probably not come here, sadly. With all the great girl band coming out in last 15 yeras like, Scandal , Negoto, gacharic Spin, Aldioous, and now the metal queens in the white dresses, it was just a matter of time til one came along that ticked ALL the boxes for international success, Kobato put this together before she could even play guitar. WTF.????? Bain Maid rules now!

It is indeed fun... they are not the world’s most technically brilliant musicians, but together they have so much more than most other bands. The fun, the smiles, the groove, the nonsense, the sheer joy and love they have for each other and their togetherness on stage, their interaction with their audience and yes, the awesome musicianship.
@ricksgamemisc104 жыл бұрын
I was literally making that same comment to someone today - how much FUN they are to watch. There's a fan-cam (from a UK concert if I recall), where during Kanami's solo she bends over really far backward .. far enough that Misa and Miku start waving at her and making faces. In other video, Kanami again goes on her solo and it's a long one, designed to give the others a bit of a break. Miku and Misa are off to one side taking a drink of water and then part way through the solo, Kanami looks over and it's like she tells them "Yeah, I'm going for it," and then starts totally HAMMING. Super, over-exaggerated moves, etc. To the point that ALL the members of the band were laughing SO hard. It was a joy to watch!

One of the most amazing bits about the solos part is that it must have been rehearsed to the nth degree...the way it went from the split second that Akane's drum ended, straight back into the song with Kanami's guitar part, without being cued up - that takes some doing.

Doc Loco, we both were in Bochum and experienced the audience which is similar to those in other European cities, I guess. Next day Vladimir and I drove to Hamburg in my old car while B-M came noisy out of my cassette player. Since that time we are friends. So I decided to join him to Nagoya and Kobe, where I had such intense moments in the crowds. They were shouting at every possible opportunity and singing the melodies so well (nothing against many old folks, me included, who cannot reach the high notes anymore), that it made me more emotional than it had been in Europe before. I am glad, that you now can hear the crowd better that in former releases, because that´s a lot more pleasure to hear the mood and the interactions between band and audience. For me as a listener, who was at a B-M concert, is it an important item, to refresh feelings.

Mos def about your comment on them having actual real fun and enjoyment while playing together, that's 1 of the things that makes them such a special and unique band because they genuinely do have fun on stage. More bands need to follow suit instead of looking like they're bored, tired of/hate each other or just there for the paycheck. Dude, whenever the world gets back to normal and shows can happen again, check them out live if u ever have the opportunity because they'll blow u away!! It's mos def not just there high budget filmed live songs like that one and then not sound good n person because they're incredible live. I've been lucky enough to c them twice and hope to again 1 day. I promise u, they sound just as good live, if not better, than there studio sound which is important to me because if I ever c a band live that I got into through studio recordings, c them live and they sound like shit, then I never listen to them again because to me, that's false advertising and not cool man. Lol. Seriously though,, love your reaction videos and I look forward to them!! 🤘😷🤘

They have added a long instrumental part in the middle, I love it. It sounds great. They are so creative and generous with all those additional intros, battles, and solos for the live shows. They add something, play it for a few shows, then drop it and invent something else. It's a pity they don't record every show, each one is a unique occasion.
@SagaciousTwo4 жыл бұрын
I dont know when this was, but the World Domination tour was in 2018. The one thing is that Saiki's newest outfit is on here. I just say her in it last night when the did a live broadcast to make up for not being able to play the Knot fest concert. They did some of their newest songs.

The rest of the band regularly gets in front of or beside Akane and makes funny faces and says things to try and make her miss a best. Apparently it hasn't ever happened. One thing that isn't mentioned enough is their transitions. Their transitions between parts of songs are as good as any band I've ever heard. Since I'm 70 and played in bands since 1963 I've heard a lot of them.

4:44 They aren't planning anything. They have a "tradition" of making funny faces at each other (especially to Akane) while they play.

Brah, if you're a fan of Band Maid, then i HIGHLY suggest you react to Bridear. They're another all-femaie metal band from Japan. Truly skilled musicians but they don't get all the recognition they deserve which is such a tragedy. Fucking straight shred your face off kine action haha. Here's some songs to get you started: "Light in the Dark" (if you don't like this song, I'll Venmo you $100. No jokes, I'm a man of my word!) "Ignite" "Remedy" (no music video unfortunately) "Ghoul" If you haven't gone down the J-metal rabbit hole yet, there's literally TONS of all-female metal bands that fucking shred. Aside from Band Maid and Bridear (which are my personal favorites) there's Lovebites, TELECiDE, Mary's Blood, Aldious, Destrose, DOLL$BOXX, Gacharic Spin... I can go on! But yeah, Bridear. Check them out, you won't regret it. Shoots, mah baddah!

When the bassist (Misa), Rythm Guitaris (Miku), Lead Guitarist (Kanami) surround the Drummer (Akane) they are not actually planning anything Watson, they are playing funny face to put Akane out of beat.. (which always failed, and in reverse, the drummer get the vocalist off the beat in their live Video "Play" kzbin.info/www/bejne/aX3biZKqaduabbc ) Love your reaction btw :)

It's not really a nee song, just a new version. It's the title track of their latest album which came out nearly 2 years ago. They've been touring pretty consistently since the release. Who knows, perhaps with much of the world on Lockdown they'll crank out another new album! Aloha to you and your family, stay safe and healthy!

Yoh there. Yeah, anything with Ban-Maid is great. They're the best. No doubt about that. But there's several amazing female japanese bands out there. If I may suggest this one: Bridear. Their song "Light In The Dark" In my oppinion their best so far. Please react to it. Here is the link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/i6m2o4Kndt2Ugdk You wont regret it :) Oh. And while we're at it. Ever heard of Alien Weaponry ? If not, then its about time. They're from New Zealand. Most of their songs are in the Maori language. You should definately react to "Kai Tangata" Here is the link to that one: kzbin.info/www/bejne/a5zaep58a7F5esU

How about a band with no instruments? Please put Pentatonix Daft Punk and/or Sound of Silence in the Bowl of the Unknown. In my opinion, they are like Band Maid, in that they really have no bad songs.
@michaelberry96792 жыл бұрын
Daft Punk ?? You’re kidding…they’re jarringly repetitive and boring; they don’t belong in the same sentence as Band -Maid, never mind a reaction/review!

@@michaelberry9679 No...I said Pentatonix. They did a mash up of Daft Punk and covered Sound of Silence. All vocal, no instruments but incredibly impressive. They have a decade of music and a comparable fan base. Don't be a tool.
