Well, I don’t know about you, but I thought this was a truly cinematic finale to cap off this fantastic spin-off. :D I congratulate Brody and Geoff on winning the race (in my country, at least); those two played a clean game and performed very well; they deserve their winnings. :) And Sanders and MacArthur both did well, having come out with a stronger partnership by the end of it. From the thrilling gameplay, to the improved animation (compared to “Total Drama Island”), to the colorful cast and dynamic story arcs, to the greater maturity level, I am proud to claim RR to be the TD franchise at its strongest - even with a few duds here and there. While it saddens me the original timeline got cut off after this, I take comfort in knowing it at least ended on a strong note. :)

Total Drama was confirmed to have ended in late 2018 when series co-creator Tom McGillis revealed that there are currently no plans for any more seasons after Pahkitew Island which by then had originally aired more than four years earlier. The reason being due to the show's fleeting demographics and the franchise's original reality TV spoofing gimmick no longer being marketable. As a result, many characters (such as Courtney, Harold and Leshawna) were never given proper sendoffs and many more plotlines were never given any kind of resolution. To add further salt to the wound, the episode that ultimately ends up being the Grand Finale ("Lies, Cries and One Big Prize") not only doesn't feel like a proper ending to either the season or series as a whole, it ends on the cliffhanger of Dave being left behind on the island with Scuba Bear.
