Total Exchaust game for Commodore Amiga 500 (never released)

This was an Amiga game which were never released that I and Casper Bram did. We were very close to a release but then Commodore went bank rupt and the project was cancelled

Or release as donationware so you can get back some cash :) or even maybe open source the game engine to allow other race games to be made, look like a good one!

Such a shame that this was never released. There is still a thriving community for Amiga games, you could easily release the game for folks to play.

Your game looks very professional as for amiga game. Why it was cancelled? What that Your decision or it was made by someone higher? Your product look as it was close to finished one, every single elements work well, there is no visible graphic glitches, HUD elements display right values and audio/video seems to be well synchronized, maybe there's only no menu with selectable options.

Looks like one of the Lotus game engines has been re-worked although if it is Lotus II they have changed the penalty for hitting roadside objects to the less lenient levels of the original Lotus Challenge. If you can do that though why would you leave gruff heavy cast iron 4 cylinder engine noises and not replace them with nice high revving F1 engine style sound FX. What's really sad is the people here have cacked their pants to full overload levels about releasing the ADF or files to run it on an emulator because it is a hack of a commercial game despite the fact this footage has clearly been recorded from an emulator using digital methods. Ho-hum yet another Amigan who didn't become a billionaire from sales of an Amiga game they were working on turns bitter, clams shut about the project and never releases it to the community.

Mmm...even if this HAD been released I doubt it would have made much of a splash. It looks generic as hell and nothing special in the playability department either. Not terrible but very "meh". No loss to the Amiga gaming scene. And if those ripped-from-Lotus sound effects aren't placeholders...
