Mam ed -1 hoga ya 1 means harbar negative sign nhi lgega kya ?? Please answer
@nvcommerceacademy3 жыл бұрын
Price Elasticity can't be expressed with negative impression.. so har bar as per formula negative sign lgega to neutralise the inverse relation between the two...

Mam I have one doubt.. there are some examples in which the outlay method doesn't work too... Means I would like to ask. See there was case explained by you that when there is increase in price of good, total expenditure falls, so there is price elasticity greater than 1, so mam let's suppose that price of commodity was 100 and then became 150 having 50% increase, and on the other hand , quantity demanded decreased from 20 to 11, showing decrease of 45% and total expenditure too has decreased from 2000 to 1650 but here if we find the elasticity of demand by % change method we would see that 45%/50% gives us 0.9 which is not greater than 1
@nvcommerceacademy2 жыл бұрын
Yes, Total expensiture method is very different and based upon chnge in direction only
