Couple of questions 1 - if eclipse happens while passing through N1 N2 nodes on ecliptic path, why we dont have eclipse every onth as moon will eventualy cross suns ecliptic path every month .. 2 . how come ( if its so ) how time ( on clock ) differs from locatio to locatio during eclipse , say some where its over earlier other place its after few minutes .. or is it not the case. Sorry about stupid questions bit thans for answering .

I'm an Eclipse expert with lots of experience and knowledge on Eclipses and I can help you out. 1. We don't get an Eclipse every month because the Moon's orbit is tilted. Although the moon does cross the plane of the Earth, most of the time the moon is NOT at a New Moon or a Full Moon. The moon crosses the node each month but for most months, the moon is not a New Moon or a Full Moon, the moon is at a different phase which eclipses only occur during a New Moon (Solar Eclipse) or a Full Moon (Lunar Eclipse) 2. The same eclipse occurs at exactly the same time for everyone, its that depending on where you live, some people may see it at a different time of the day. People live in different time zones so the moon appears to be rotated in at a different angle but we are all watching the same eclipse at exactly the same time, its just the orientation and the times of the eclipse are different due to your location an time zone. Hope this Helps!

@@railroadtrainspotter4854 Thank you for this explanation. I have a question, if you don't mind. Why aren't the two eclipse seasons fixed in time? Why doesn't the first lunar eclipse of the year occur always on, say, the 26 May? I've checked an online eclipses table for the next 10 years, and it shows eclipses occur in almost every month of the year.
@railroadtrainspotter48543 жыл бұрын
The Synodic Month (From New Moon to New Moon) takes about 29.53 Days to complete. So it takes the Moon 29.53 Days to orbit the Earth once and we can see all 8 phases of the Moon in 1 month. Notice how the Synodic Month is just slightly less than a normal month which has 30 days (some months have 31 days). So that means the Moon finishes its phases and orbit around the Earth just 1/2 day short of a normal month with 30 days. So each month, the phase of the moon can be anywhere from 1/2 - 1.5 Days earlier than the previous month. For Example: The Full Moon in May 2021 occurred on May 26, because the Synodic month is slightly shorter than a regular month, the Full Moon in June 2021 will be on June 24. May has 31 days so that's why the Full Moon in June 2021 is on June 24. If May had only 30 days then the Full Moon would be on June 25, 2021. The duration of the time it takes the Moon to orbit around the Earth one time didn't change, its just that some months have 31 days which makes the date of the next moon phase a day earlier due to the 31st day of the previous month. So in conclusion, Eclipses always happen twice a year with at least 4 Eclipses each year (2 Solar and 2 Lunar) and each year, Eclipses come about 11 Days and 8 Hours earlier due to the Synodic Month being slightly shorter than a regular month with 30 or 31 days. February is an exception since it has only 28 days most years so every 19 years, there is not a Full Moon in February. Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions. I understand that this can be difficult to learn at first.

@@tarekchahattou I love a cloudy cool day but for any observation clouds suck! Last year in June there was a partial solar eclipse and at sunrise the sky was clear. 10 minutes later everything is cloudy and stayed that way for the whole day! If it wasn't for this channel I'd be missing a lot of eclipses.

@@azizulislamashiksm-1842 Aw dang that's awful, clouds are so unpredictable, even if you've been following following weather forecasts ugh. Cloudy weather is my favorite, but I guess it backfires when I need it to be clear for an eclipse. And the worst part is that the sky is clear now and the supermoon is still visible, but without any eclipse. I hope our Nov 2021 and May 2022 eclipses are visible nicely 🤞
