If I died back then and THAT is the afterlife....I wasn't good enough boy. Unfortunately, the camera tech wasn't that great. Have taken a picture but it's so grainy. 23:53 If Sun and moon collide and heaven is going down on you, it will definitely save you to be indoors 🤣

An other explanation I heard for the eye patch (I don’t know if it’s accurate) is that it would allow to maintain one eye accustomed to darkness. That was when they would move between the (bright) bridge of the ship to the (dark) inside they could just lift the eyepatch and not wait each time to get accustomed.

I thought the eyepatch was so that they could go below decks and their eyes don’t need to adjust to the dark, because one eye is already adjusted. This does make sense though.

It was cool that you kicked off the video with a Sextant. [Devices like that Change Everything!] Fascinating/Interesting to say the very least. Elmer Ambrose Sperry [from Cortland, NY - where I grew up] invented the Gyrocompass /Gyroscopic Compass - Also used for sea navigation. As for the Solar Eclipse: I've been a lunar photographer for the better part of 3 decades, so HOPEFULLY, the event will be fun to shoot! Central/Upstate/Western NY is apparently going to be getting pretty crazy. We'll see. 🤘👽 Sam -

At 2 in the morning a woman was screaming hysterically at the top of her lungs. Blood-curdling actually. Long story short. She is sub-saharan African. She had never seen snow in her life. She was utterly convinced we were being invaded by Aliens :) It was so cool seeing someone overcome hysteria and experience large form snow flakes for the first time.

As much as I'm a firm believer in the rapture. It is ridiculous people assume solar eclipses like these are a sign of the times. There is no warning when the lord returns, he will return without warning. By the time we realize he returned. We'll all be in heaven.

When I was young. I once had a friend who deliberately took his glasses during the eclipse to show how though he was despite our warnings. He later in the same day cried because his eyes were in pain and he couldn’t see shit. I mean we warned him and he didn’t listen.

It is really sad when someone looks up directly at the sun, refusing to wear protection thinking it won't hurt them. I just do not understand it. It hurts my eyes almost immediately, I'm very sensitive so I can understand his pain.
