Total Task Chaining

Total task chaining can be used whenever data has shown that a student has the prior knowledge required for completing the task. With a total task analysis, teachers should still break down and model each step as prompted by the student. This can also help us gather data about the student's present levels of performance and where specifically they might need additional support and guidance.

YES, definitely. You use prompting for each step of the TA that the learner needs help with, and prompt them to move on to the next step. You can use physical guidance or graduated guidance.
