Dacia was no longer Roman during the time of Attila. It was abandoned by Aurelian in 275 AD and was overtaken by Goths.

Amazing, is this map on the mod?
@RomulusBattles8 ай бұрын
Thanks, man. The map isn't in the mod. I've used a custom map available in the workshop for Attila: storms end.

Can we get a submod where the Huns are not Mongols?
@RomulusBattles Жыл бұрын
Bro, check out the unit rooster of the Hun Culture here: late-roman.ru/fireforged-empire/units/hun-culture/#content-content-inner
@Magnito88 Жыл бұрын
In our Fireforged Empire mod ethnic huns have mongolian features too and it is justified, because their ancerstors are Xiongu, who inhabited steppes north of China and later ressetled west. But, Hunnic hordes in 4th-5th centuries consisted mostly of subjued tribes-sarmatian, germanic, protoslavic, ethnic huns were a minority. That's why hunnic unit roster in Fireforged Empire mostly consists of sarmatian and germanic units, ethnic hunnic troops are far less.

@@Magnito88 that is actually an ongoing debate. We don't know for sure whether they were Xiognu. And besides, the Xiognu looked more like Turks than Mongols I am sure. Turks looked more Europid than Mongoloid.

@@svarg432You cannot be sure of turkish origin of Xiongu and the Huns- it is only a theory, one of the many. May be it the most popular one, but there are also Mongolian, Yenisey and other theories. I do not take one of these as a undeniable fact, personally I think it was a mixed ethnical group when huns finally resettled from presumably Eurasian steppes to north Black Sea region. I think they had more Asian appearance than European one, because the last more in line with Iranians (Arias), which were sarmatians, whom Huns subdued and probably mixed with.
