Just something I think you need to know. In the World of Khorne trailer the big Balrog demon at the end of the is known as Skarbrand. He was Khorne's strongest Bloodthirsters. He could level a city with one swing of his axes. Tzeentch got it into his head that he could/should kill Khorne. Well he tried at least. He hit Khorne with all his might & it barely scratched Khorne. Khorne punished him by choking the PERSONALITY & EGO out of him for days then hurled him across the cosmos till he landed in the Mortal Realm years later. Now he's a snarling rabid beast who just rampages across the world. Never able to ask for forgiveness but still able spill blood for Khorne.

27:49 So to condense a really long story into something short; the reason Mortarion fell to chaos was because of First Captain Typhon (later Typhus) getting buddy buddy with Erebus (Fuck Erebus) Mortarion was a traitor with an axe to grind against the Emperor but he was not, at least at the start of the Horus Heresy, tainted with chaos, it wasn't until Typhon butchered the astropaths on the Terminus Est (Death Guard's flagship) by claiming they would betray Morty and offering to guide the ship to safety. Upon doing this however, Typhus guided the ship directly into the hands of Nurgle and subjected everyone aboard including Morty to the worst of Nurgle's infections and unending torture with no intention on letting them die, the only way the Death Guard were allowed to end the pain was to give their souls to Nurgle and wholeheartedly accept his 'Gifts'.

12:35 "Which dynasty are we dealing with here?" Cathay's emperor is an immortal dragon, so they don't even have different reigns, much less different dynasties. I don't know too much about what dynasties of China it's inspired by though. The in-engine cinematics are definitely quite scripted, I don't know exactly what the workflow for that is, but there's clearly a lot of hand-place units and effects, it's effectively choreographed. So it's mostly based on animations from the game, and it roughly mimics the look of a battle, but obviously there is a lot of staging going on.

Fun fact, about that giant rat with all of the mechanical parts, he has the body of a Rat Ogre, but has the brain of a Chaos warrior, because said Chaos warrior failed at something don't remember what it was and as punishment, he was sent to Clan Moulder to be experimented on and they took out his brain and put it in the body of a Rat Ogre that had been heavily augmented.

the reason why im such a fan boy of nurgle is moslty cause i generally like chaos and it hought about if you were to serve any of the chaos gods which one would be the most tolerable? I landed on nurgle because he is the only chaos god who actually cares about his fallowers "in a twisted way yes" but khorne doesnt care from whence the blood flows, tzeentch is likely to throw you under the bus for more gains and slanessh with murder grape you for the sheer fun of it. Nurgle will sit down around the pox pot with you have a beer and tell you all the fucked up plagues he's invented and lets you try it out without dying or feeling pain from it.

Khorne values courage and loyalty, along with his evil, Sleenash, values art and perfection, and whatever causes pleasure, even positive things, however, she/he takes it to the extreme, Tzeentch is manipulation, but also progress and evolution. Nurgle, is death AND life and rebirth. He does care about his followers, within the lore, it is mentioned that not only he, but also his greater daemons, like Ku'Gath and other great unclean ones, care about their inferior beings, and form a paternal bond with them. That's literally why Nurgle's nickname is grandfather, because to all of his daemons and followers, he's like a father. He even believes that his corruption and plagues are blessings and by spreading them, he's helping the ones to take it. So yeah, Nurgle thinks he's good guy, and he even means good, it's just that good, in his perspective, is different from what good truly is.

You question why one would follow the Urfather? Because unlike the other Chaos Gods, Nurgle loves his children!!! He gifts them with the blessings of virulent life throughout their bodies, they become immune to pain and the ravages that those tiniest of life forms can inflict on mortals. As all life must decay, so does all decay nourish life! Khorne seeks blood and skulls, caring not from whence they come. Tzeentch endlessly conspires towards nothing, its followers becoming victims of their own conspiracies. I'm certainly hoping it will be. I thought TWWH2 was really good at launch but it was really the updates over the years that made it one of the best strategy game ever made. The starting factions for 3 all look absolutely wild so that will be fun but whether the game will be great launch heavily relies on how good they manage to make the campaign. I'm gonna play the standalone campaign but what I'm REALLY looking forward to is the combined mega campaign/mortal empires 2 they say they will release. But that's going to be a hard thing to make so who knows when that comes out.

Just for thought: the Dragonblooded are dragon-descendents or even half-bloods. That's the source of their power. The Longma, the flying Dragonhorses, also have true Dragonblood in them. So in a sense, a humanoid Dragonblood riding on a Longma is more or less using a cousin or even a sibling as mount.

Fun fact, the dragon Emperor was never stated to be a full on dragon, however it did say in some books that they (the Dragon Emperor) was merely the descendant of one. In the Covenant with Chaos trailer, the Exile or the Narrator was resurrected by Tzeentch to bring that book/covenant to one of Slaanesh's top lieutenants the Architect (the half gender giant who said I have the knowledge you seek but all Pleasures have a Price.). Unfortunately the Architect wasn't just there to claim the book but also the Exile as part of the bargain. But luckily for him Papa Nurgle interfered ruining the deal. And to a point that answers your question about why people love Nurgle. He's a menace, don't get it twisted. But he does a lot of his "good" deeds from the bottom of his black heart. One of these good deeds came shortly after Slaanesh's birth. Slaanesh had slaughtered all the Eldarian/Elven Gods except for a few. One of which was the Eldar Goddess of Life. Slaanesh captured her & took her to their realm. But before any horror could befall her Nurgle led an All Out Assault on Slaanesh's realm & rescued her. He took her for his bride, yes that seems like a negative & it is. She constantly has to taste test from his cauldron of plagues because she as the Goddess of Life can heal from anything. She does this willingly though as she passes on the remedies & countermeasures to her children.

Also, there is a wholesome part about Nurgle. Like, sure, it's deadly wholesome, but still. Nurglings are like unruly children. Plague toads are eager puppies. About the first trailer. the "Fairy" is Ariel Queen of hte Wood Elves and Wife of Orion King of the Wild Hunt. The two maidens on teh dragon are Arahan and Naestra. the fat rat is Throt the UNclean. Master Mutator of Clan Moulder - the clan that creates stuff like Rat Ogres and Hell Pit Abominations. He has a burning hunger. And the thing you screamad "Oh my Word!" about is the Castellan of Hell Pit. Ghoritch. Once a Khornate Berserker he displeased Archaon and was given to clan Moulder to diddle around with. Throt stuck his brain into a modified rat ogre body. And yes he's aware of that and he's aaangry. Now i get a bit more "bitchy" about WH3 tbh. I'm not a fan of the new look of Kislev. If you play WH 2 check out the mod "Kislev reborn". Those lads used the material from the 2nd ed RPG (which did a lot of work to flesh out Kislev) the old Warmaster list and the old Kislev supplement to make a truly great looking Kislev. The new Kislev probably was designed by GW to tie in more with the AoS look AND to make it easier to protect by copyright. What used to be Aspects of Kislev (Bears and Ice) are dominating their look now. Heck the hero mounts boil down to "Horse. Bear." When Katarin and the ice witches shouldn't have bears. At least Katarin should have a sled (she had fancy special horses with ice crystals on their flanks and "breath like the winter wind" as a moutn and an armoured war sled in her description but never as mount option. Which is btw the same case for Ku'gath's nurgling Palanquin. Never had been part of his rules) Then we randomly got this Orthodoxy introduced jut to have a "Ice Witches VS Religious guy" conflict in Kislev (even worse because that Orthodoxy stuff now was set up by Katarin's OWN FATHER) Before the main conflict in kislev was Gospodar VS Ungol. The Ungol were the native people of Kislev. The Gospodar came later under their Khan Queen and conquered Kislev. The two live together as Kislevites but the Gospodar are settled and the ruling people and there is a lot of friction. In ye olde fluff Katarin was getting flak for promoting Ungols over Gospodars. My personal biggest PET peeve is the new look for the Streltsi. They originally used Bardiche and gun ike historically. The new gun axes I jsut dislike. Especially iwth the "firing in melee" animation. That means they swing loaded flintlocks. Recipe for Friendly Fire. Heck the Kislev Reborn mod made custom animations for Bardiche and Gun Streltsi where they actually rest their guns on the axe! And CA then just went "Gun axes are cool! And look we based it on this historical weapon which was rare and had the muzzle in the front!" My grumbling about Kislev aside - Please watch the remining TW WH 1 trailers ^^

Trial by fire is still the best trailer of them all. I'm still hyped for WH3 every time I see it. I own the game and I thought I was done for the night. But seeing that trailer again makes me want to continue my Skarbrand campaign.

As an avid fan of the Skaven, I really like Nurgle as well! Death and Decay are fascinating concepts that no living being can ever hope to escape from. Nurgle might be yucky to look at but thats intentional, I mean he personifies rot and decay, some of the things Humanity wants to cover up and stay away from as much as possible even if it is indeed inevitable. The endless cycle of death and life is what makes Nurgle interesting.

I do'nt see what's fascinating about it, it's gross, just plainly gross however inevitable it is. Nurgle is just endless decay and rot, he has nothing about death and life and much less renewal.

Nurgle (Chaos space marines and warriors of chaos) player since 3rd edition 40k andd 6th edit fantasy: i think they look awesome. Im not sure why really. Yes, its disgusting, but thats kinda the cool thing. Plague marines and typhus/mortarion especially. I also started some traitor guardsmen but havent finished them yet. I was using death korps of krieg models for it (the gas masks, duh). I think it has to do with playing an army that is slow. Moving but tanky as all get-out. Just causing harm to everyone around you by your mere EXISTENCE is an interesting concept for a faction. Bring into that a davey jones in the Pirates of the Carribean movie style and some clickers from the last of us....yeah, theres so many cool things you can do with the models. I think i spent more time on models with putty/green stuff/epoxy making them look nurgle-y than i have spent painting them. Plus green is my fav color lol.

well Nurgle give you realise fand acceptens from your pain, like imagine if you ill and no one can save you, nothing any doctor can do to help. And Nurgle comes and helps you accept life how it's, nothing is eternal all things come to and and all you can do is live with that the best you could. I think it's not a bad offer. Tzinch would make you alwayes fight for the better spot, alwayes betray and sceem never trust never let go alwaes climb on head of overs, and if you with Slanesh you never gona be satisfied you alwayes wanna try something new and us soon as you try it's already becomes old. So Nurgle give people what they want, peace of mind.

you are thinking of Isha, the elven godess who is imprisoned by Nurgle, Slannesh is one of the 4 major Chaos gods, not at all imprisoned

Nagash would definitely be cool as well, but I like how CA played around confirming N'kari instead of Nagash in Arkhan's ending, where Arkhan tries to call out to his master, but instead N'kari answers
