I remember seeing this game in a gaming magazine, just before the very first Xbox was released. It looked amazing, and was so glad they also released it on the Ps2 too. Where I'm from (UK), it's not named Totaled! It's called Crashed, and the Xbox release was called Crash. I never understood why they put ed on the Ps2 release. I also didn't know it was also called Totaled! Until I found your video. Another thing I noticed was the change on how the cars damage. In the clip on the intro, the damage looks so much better, losing wheels, exterior pieces falling off, exploding up in air into pieces etc. But in the game, none of that happens. All that happens, is your car dents, you lose doors, and you set fire. I wonder why they changed the way the damage looks? It's good to see the full game uploaded on KZbin. Thanks for sharing.

This game is a childhood relic of mine and I'm glad to be the only person to upload a runthrough of this game in full. I didn't realize that it was released in Europe as "Crashed" either, nor did I ever know it was on PS2. Glad you enjoyed the video. :)

@@VACATETHE48 Yeah. I don't know what parts of the world it went under the name Totaled! What's your take on the damage engine? Did you notice that the damage in the intro is way more brutal than the actual gameplay?

Maybe performance issues? That, or they exaggerated it for the intro and the damage model was always how it was during gameplay

Did you pass Skittles n Crates in one attempt or did you edit out failed attempts? That was the bane of my existence when I played this game as a kid, I struggled even using the Wyvern because hitting the boxes felt incredibly difficult some of the time and I found myself running out of time a lot because of it.

The trick to this was using a slower car, I did that on first attempt. The only 3 I had to redo was a Last Man Standing on Lightning Ridge, Last Man Standing on Kobe Tunnel, and Manouevers, which is the one that is by far the most difficult.

@@VACATETHE48 I also read your description and I believe the issue is the title changes between the US and UK and this game came out in 2002 they don’t make demolition games like this anymore. I’m ole school man I go back to destruction derby on the N64 haha I watched mainly to finally see all the cars unlocked and seeing the final cutscene for game over was cool too thanks for uploading and preserving this on KZbin!!! @@VACATETHE48 finally beat it lol thanks for the motivation!!! The maneuvers are tough!!! I had to look in the instruction manual to figure out how to blindside took me 3 tries tho hate how that start the car you hit in the grass can move it worth beans!!!

I never understood the hate for this game, even now. The only flaw I guess would be slow acceleration of most cars.

how do you unlock the top row of maps on the third page of the stats menu? they aren't shown in this video. i remember getting them as a kid but i'm doing a playthrough again and i've completed every event in both arcade and career but they're still locked.

just noticed that this version has different maps to the ps2 version, everything is the same but ps2 has devils dust bowl instead of rio raceway

I played on ps2 gold old memories but i dont understand why on xbox is this game called TOTALED and on ps2 is called CRASHED idk why but i found one person and he said it was changed on ps2 for some reason
