Anyone else have this issue - I made a Hannah bracelet that ended up too big, so remade it, but then noticed the gold superduos has lost their bright gold!! My conclusion was it was my hands holding the piece as I made it!! I cant wear gold silver or rose gold plated bracelets or earrings as they return to base metal within days sometimes hours, so I’m guessing it’s the same principle! Hubby is military veteran now a home carer in the community and he has ppe gloves, fine for feeling not so for hands as they can’t breathe and get wet inside. Gloves would need to be skin tight and to retain the feeling etc. Anyone else solved this? I googled jewellery making gloves but came up with gloves for handling watches or precious jewellery and gems, silversmithing, polishing, grinding and buffing or heat protection gloves. All designed to protect the hands or finished pieces for display. I’m needing something breathable like ppe gloves that still allow your hands to breathe and feel! I can’t be the only one with This issue, bound to be pro jewellery makers who need to wear gloves to protect what they are working on not to protect the hands? Any ideas anyone!!! 🙃
