I agree. Super bad enough their moms were replaced by almost identical twins instead of using the same characters from the "Mommies Dearest" episode... Why couldn't Jerry just erase their mothers memories? They do it for all innocent victims/minions of criminal masterminds. Then I realized, in "Totally Spies" the movie, Jerry stated that it was against WOOHP policy to interfere with the lives of civilians. Thus, it was against the policy to erase the memories of the mothers, since they were members of the girls lives. I also realized that their mothers toughness to keep their girls apart was no match for the girls friendship. The girls love each other, since they've been together for so long. They should have realized earlier that they were making their own daughters miserable.

Camryn VB The one thing that makes me disagree with you here is the fact the these girls aren’t always on their best guard. You noticed how Alex dropped that important vile trying to avoid birds? Or how many times Clover is tricked and kidnapped? There are spies in other movies that are a lot better, both female AND male. And I’m sorry but it’ll take a lot to top James Bond as best spy. Don’t get me wrong, these girls are great at what they do, but they’re still learning.

The show got really lazy with the mothers´ character designs. In their first appearances they had some similarities with their daughters, but still different enough to be somewhat unique. Here it looks like the animators just took the girls´ designs and added wrinkles; it actually looks more like the girls when being tired or something

While, various episodes do have plot holes, goofs, and problems. The premise for this one never made sense to me. WOOHP has a machine that can alter and erase memories. Why did they never use it? If they had consider it but, the girls forbade it because it's their own mothers than this premise would have made more sense but, it never happens so I have to wonder if the writers simply forgot about that plot thread in order to make the episode.
